the date indicated on that pic being 2016 it makes me suspect more that the "he leaned back too far" copypasta was older than 2018 as the meme page indicates.

no they really are that dangerous. i live in a small town in the midwest and every year we have this really s----- "fair" with like two rides and a bunch of over priced hotdogs dipped in cancer and cotton "candy". anyway one of the two or three rides is the gravitron, (technically this one is called the "UFO" but theyr'e all the same machine, gravitron is the most common name.) and a couple years ago there was this f------ guy from my school who had some kind of developmental disability or something, he was about six and a half feet tall, looked like one of those brainlet pictures people post in his face a little bit, and he was on the UFO ride when i got on it. He kept f------ around with the tarp s--- at the top of the ride because he's so god damned tall and when the ride spun up to full speed and the padded cushion roller thing you lay against slides up toward the cieling as its going really fast , well he must have had a snag or something in the tarp part because there was this huge tearing noise and he rippen a hole right in the top and got sucked out through it. he must have sailed about 30 to 60 feet before he landed in a mailbox. they still use the same UFO machine but theres a duct tapped patch over the top now.
