Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) - Times have changed.

2008: Oh boy, the chance to start anew in a different medium unburdened by literal decades of just trying to push product. A chance to utilize what is GOOD about our characters and ideas without being completely inaccessible to the layman due to years of publishing the dumbest thoughts that enter our head.

2024: We succeeded so hard the layman IS the one who has followed our every dumbest choice. Time to bring in literally every bad idea from the comics because that's MORE. More we can publish, more we can sell, more time we can waste. The only point to being good is as a SUBSTITUTE for marketing, right?

I liked Worm because of this, superhero settings turn into existential horror pretty quickly if they go on for too long.
