What are you talking about?
Authoritarians are obsessed with trans people. From both the left and right. The Russian supreme court is deciding on a ruling that will label all trans people as extremists that violate Russian decency laws for existing.

Then there are Republicans who won't stop talking about trans people at rallies and keep trying to push through laws that ban trans people. Like there is a case in Texas where the school board decided to ban their school's one trans student from being able to perform in the school's play of Oklahoma. The students of the small town were pissed and kept calling for the school admins to step down and let him back in the play. After initially offering him parts as non-human parts in the play, like a tree or animal, the admins eventually relented and allowed him to play in Oklahoma.

Of course the school board said that going forward that the school will only be casting males for male roles and females for females roles. Basically signalling that this one trans student will be playing girls if they continue to do theater.
