The pokemon company did make the female models in pokemon more androgynous leaning towards masculine (boxier with broader shoulders) to "test audience reception" and specified that these changes would be region dependent meaning Japan would keep the good looking female models and only the west would get the uggo models, so yeah they probably are being affected by this DEI bullshit.
