On a more serious note in a goddamn sexy meme post, wish there was more discussion on so-called lesser armor, as in how a gambeson is actually quite protective, how good bucklers actually are, and how devastating a simple light wooden shield can be by just leveraging the not-so-innocent buckler metal centerpiece.

Of course you ain't winning a 1v1 full plate soldier with just gambesons, buckler and dagger but looks like landsneckts danced around this happy medium of just enough armor in the right places to outmaneuver both light and heavy armor and the weaponry to put a dent in heavy armor via half-swording, mordhau strike or throwing the pommel to end them rightly.
