My character has 1000 HP at level 1 What? They're a Hill Dwarf, who have the Dwarven Tougness trait. This gives me 1 extra max HP and 1 extra max HP every time I gain a level. But, nowhere it specifies that it must be a Character Level. So, I buy or make a tool that lets me see whether a surface is flat, also known as a "level". Now, I start passing it between me and an ally and every time they pass it back to me, Itechnically "gain a level". So my max HP increases by 1. After doing this for a long time, my maximum HP is now 1000, but I could go on for as long as I'd want.
