1. On August 6, 2024, Alberto Fernández was accused of intimate partner violence by his ex-wife Fabiola Yáñez.
2. On August 7, 2024, Sandra Borghi reported that Fernández said to Yáñez that he was going to kill himself if she ever spoke about those incidents.
3. On August 8, 2024, Infobae published the evidence Yáñez had against Fernández. Luis D'Elia (a controversial figure himself) condemns Fernández, and publicly asks the former president to apologise to Fabiola, their children, his party comrades, and the Argentine people, and to kill himself. The very same day, a video of Fernández and Tamara Pettinato gets leaked, where very notably the former asks the latter to say something nice about him.
4. On August 9, 2024, D'Elia publishes an screenshot of a message Alberto Fernández sent him, where the latter asks the former to listen to him before he kills himself.
