They didn't see season one week to week as it was coming out, they marathoned it. And when you do that, it's much easier to forget the bad stuf Those of us who watched S1 as it came out remember how incredibly inconsistent it was, how it wasn't until 7 or 8 episodes in that the show really became great, how we suffered through terrible episodes like Owl's Well and Show Stoppers to get to the good stuff, how everyone used to hate the CMC, how some episodes were just damn boring or reused jokes too often... Now you guys aren't able to marathon the episodes, so the flaws become more obvious. Which is why Imlp/ hated Season 2 as it was coming out, and hated Season 3 as it came out. And they'll hate Season 4, as well, all the while saying "Why can't it be as good as Season 3?
