This is entirely a rant and ld be fine if you just ignored it, but I have to say it. I'm an indie game developer. Nobody knows who I am, nobody cares, so I'm just going to stay Anonymous I look at how media outlets like Kotaku are handling this situation and it makes me horrified. I am genuinely worried about my future as a game developer. What if someday, people start to care? What if the writers at similar sites decide to do an article on a game I created, and they decide to take so many things out of context just so they can paint me out to bea bad guy because I don't match up to whatever agenda they're pushing that month? I've never been the center of attention, outside of a few threads I started on 4chan in the past, Im no one special or famous. I don't have connections in the industry, and the people I work with are all friends who got tired of dealing with b------- in their own respective fields to work with me. So when I see all these companies act the way they do, especially when they do it to people who present evidence in full, both the good and the bad, and don't attempt to lower themselves to insults like "pissbaby", all I can feel is fear. I don't come from a rich family, my job prospects are low, and I live in a region where there are zero investors willing to support or back game development. So, all of the above just makes me want to tell guys like Jason Schrier, "you and the people you work for scare me, because they can easily turn a gigantic audience against me and rob me of any income source." But I cant, because I'm not white, and I'm not from the United States, and these people seem to ignore anyone from outside of these two groups all while talking about the "disenfranchised masses" that need helping, saving, and representation

It's either being labeled as a sexist white man-chan or a white knight SJW drone.
There is no middle ground in this, and reading this makes me feel bad for the people who want to keep their job and support something they don't agree with.

It's also ironic that while 4chan and /v/ are vilified, they give the poster privacy, making these confessions possible
