Let's assume the best case scenario, that it's not actually happening. The worst that happens because of it is some people have a bit less HD space to work with that they will eventually reclaim once it's proven to be false. Compared to the worst case, it IS happening and nobody makes any backups, I don't really see a big problem. Plus, even if this is BS from someone who's pro-GG it is not calling to doxx or harm anyone, just reproduce important/unimportant publicly accessible data.
I may not be hip to the jive, but isn't archive.org supposed to, like…archive things? How do they have the power to censor the archive? This must be the most dishonest and POWERFUL thing they could do! D:
