A mechanic was discovered recently by Smogon users in Pokemon R/B/Y cartridges: Normal-types cannot be paralyzed by the over-powered Body Slam, much like Fire-types cannot be Burned, Electric-types cannot be paralyzed, Ice-types cannot be frozen and Poison-types cannot be poisoned.
