Georges Lemaître, the guy who came up with the Big Bang theory was a Catholic priest and a scientist. The guy who ran the Human Genome Project was a Christian. There was a period back in the middle ages where the most prominent and learned men of the day were Muslim and the Middle East was the center of science in the world. This is what annoys me about guys like Dawkins and Harris. They've created an atmosphere within atheism that if a person is religious or even just believes in the concept of a deity, then they're brainwashed or deluded or otherwise less intelligent than those who don't. That's the reason why I don't consider myself an atheist anymore because I don't want to associate myself with that.

You can be Atheist and not be Anti-theist.
People who think all Atheists hate religion are following the same line of reasoning as people who think all Christians deny Evolution.
By disowning Atheism because you think the whole group is Anti-theist, you are no better than the people who made you disown it to begin with.
