Boob and Book, also known as the Book 'N' Boob Trend, refers to a photography social media trend that involves users posting a photograph of a book pressed closely against their breasts, usually leaving their cleavage exposed but covering their nipples. The trend achieved virality on X / Twitter in March 2025.

Origin

On March 10th, 2025, X^[1] user @Rawpkw posted a photograph of herself pressing a copy of Depeche Mode: Monument against her breasts, leaving her cleavage exposed. The post (shown below) garnered over 16,000 reposts and 105,000 likes in nine days.

Spread

In the following days, users on X / Twitter shared photographs inspired by the post, pressing various books and later other objects against their breasts.

For instance, on March 12th, 2025, X^[2] user @thereisnobeth made one of the earliest notable posts contributing towards the budding trend. The photograph (shown below) received over 2,300 reposts and 38,000 likes.

On March 15th, 2025, X^[3] user @hoezayburger requested that somebody repeat the trend with a Nintendo 3DS XL console, with their post gaining over 4,100 reposts and 134,000 likes in four days.

On March 16th and 17th, X^[4][5] users @spaceghostkari and @kttyp0wer posted photographs based on the idea, garnering over 11,000 likes and 29,000 likes, respectively, in three and two days (post by @kttyp0wer shown below).

The trend maintained popularity on X / Twitter, as well as on Bluesky and Threads, through mid-March 2025. It also spread to Reddit around the same timeframe, such as on subreddits like /r/findom.^[6]

On March 19th, 2025, Redditor perrohunter made a post to the /r/Khyleri^[7] subreddit (a fan community of artist Khyleri) referencing the trend, which received nearly 400 upvotes in two hours (seen below).
