Who Is 'The Faithful Sheriff' And Why Is He Threatening To Sue SuperMega? Controversial Twitch Streamer 'DrWitnesser's VTuber Peanut Rebrand Explained
Twitch streamer TheBurntPeanut might have some competition as a new peanut streamer known as The Faithful Sheriff goes viral for his bizarre beef with YouTubers SuperMega.
What some people might not realize is that The Faithful Sheriff used to stream under the name DrWitnesser and has been marred by controversy for years, even getting banned from Twitch in 2021 for some guideline-breaking comments.
So, who exactly is The Faithful Sheriff, why did he have to rebrand, and why is he beefing with SuperMega? Here's what you need to know.
Who Is 'The Faithful Sheriff,' AKA 'DrWitnesser?'
Before becoming a peanut streamer, DrWitnesser was known as a Christian Twitch streamer who would preach to people, including children, while gaming.
In the early 2020s, numerous clips of DrWitnesser making controversial statements towards kids went viral. Some of these videos include a clip of him telling a child Santa doesn't exist, spreading alleged anti-LGBTQ+ talking points and using racial slurs.
DrWitnesser's controversial online presence got him temporarily banned from Twitch in 2021, when he told a Muslim child that he would not go to heaven because he's not a Christian. Since then, several YouTubers have posted videos covering his past controversies.
In early February 2026, inspired by prominent streamer TheBurntPeanut, DrWitnesser rebranded his accounts as "The Faithful Sheriff" and began streaming using a 3D peanut VTuber avatar.
DrWitnesser made up a story about being cursed by TheBurntPeanut, explaining his new direction. He got a lot of criticism for "ripping off" TheBurntPeanut's bit, which he responded to in a video, claiming he's "just having fun" and that he no longer wants to show himself or his room on stream over past doxxing and swatting incidents.
Ultimately, The Faithful Sheriff is open about taking inspiration from TheBurntPeanut, and hopes to collaborate with him to help spread the word of God.
Why Is 'The Faithful Sheriff' Beefing With SuperMega?
The Faithful Sheriff became a big meme on X / Twitter in early March 2026 following a viral video about his rebrand by YouTuber Kurtis Conner. Many of these memes look to troll and make fun of The Faithful Sheriff.
On March 10th, YouTubers SuperMega decided to troll The Faithful Sheriff by posting an edit of his peanut avatar with visible genitalia. This is a reference to a previous meme that depicts TheBurntPeanut in the same way.
SuperMega now claims that The Faithful Sheriff commissioned the meme. He denied the claim, inspiring SuperMega to troll him further by sharing a fake DM exchange between the two that makes it seem like The Faithful Sheriff commissioned the meme.
Now, The Faithful Sheriff is threatening to pursue legal action against SuperMega for defamation in the caption of a recent video post on X, where he recounts the drama and further denies commissioning the meme.
He acknowledges that they're trolling and calls their claims a "smear campaign" against him. He asks them to stop making these claims, or he will sue them. At the time of publishing, SuperMega has not responded to The Faithful Sheriff.
The account @supermega are 100% lying and if they keep telling people I requested this I will be pursing legal action for defamation. pic.twitter.com/o3iMFiRplu
