On August 16th, 2023, X,^[1] formerly Twitter, user @lagoontoons posted an NSFW rule 34 animation known as the "Reboot Wally animation" where Reboot Wally, an AU version of Wally Darling from the Welcome Home ARG, has sex with a fan (screenshot shown below). The video starts with Wally saying, "Aw, I'm your favorite? Let's make sure it stays that way." The post gained over 3,900 likes and 92,000 views in a week.

Spread

The animation went viral on TikTok over the following days as users posted SFW clips from it and memes referencing it. On August 21st, 2023, TikToker^[2] @rous35p posted an edit using the audio from the animation followed by fan art of Reboot Wally, garnering over 111,000 views in four days (shown below, left). On August 22nd, TikToker^[3] @miss_multiverse_23 posted a video where Reboot Wally and a woman react to the animation, garnering over 35,700 views in three days (shown below, right).

On August 24th, TikToker^[4] @vthelucy posted a video offering free eye bleach for anyone who saw the video, garnering over 16,500 views in a day (shown below).
