Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff (SBaHJ) is a comic series first created by Andrew Hussie to make fun of low-quality webcomics^[3]. For Homestuck, Andrew credited the creation of SBaHJ to Dave Strider in order to serve as a set of starter memes for the Beta Kids^[2]. Aside from the missing Comic 39, there are currently 54 official comic strips.

History

Editor's Warning: According to the comic's own disclaimer, page 53 is intended for readers aged "41 AND OLDER".

This comic is very funny at it best, and gross or disturbing at it's worst.

Most of Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff was updated periodically as Homestuck's story progressed.

Reception

Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff is more widely loved, and less controversial, than Homestuck.

Impact

People can and have read Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff without reading Homestuck, although Homestuck does add additional context to the content and themes in the former.

Fandom

Of course, everyone now knows that this comic is made with ironic intention.
