And really, y’all is a pretty useful word. Why English doesn’t have a standard separate second person plural pronoun is beyond me, but y’all fits the bill for me just fine. I cringe every time I hear “you guys” because it sounds so stupid.

I think Rainbow’s mane colour is real, since, you know, her name? It would make no sense if her parents named her Rainbow Dash if her mane wasn’t rainbowy.

Multicoloured manes are very rare, yes, being found on very few ponies (I can only think of Twilight, Rainbow, and Colgate), but odds are, it’s probably genetically coded somewhere, like the genes for being a unicorn/pegasus supposedly are (cough cough Baby Cakes cough cough Mrs. Cake cough cough adultery cough cough).

If the colors of her mane were fake, I feel her cutie mark would be a different color.

If RD dyes her hair, it must be pretty hard to make a rainbow pattern. Considering how much she dislikes this kind of stuff, I think she wouldn’t bother to dye her mane.

Yeah, I didn’t even get in on this discussion because it was getting way too serious and going on for way to long. It’s just cartoon ponies being naughty, it’s not bestiality, it’s not really that bad, and it isn’t worth our time to discuss it this much. Since the names in Equestria are oddly prophetic (as discussed in a thread on the ponyhub), her name could also be from the fact that she pulled off a sonic rainboom.

It’s also in my headcannon that the ponies change their names upon earning their marks, mainly because I don’t like the whole prophetic thing. Either way, her mane could still be fake.

Personally, I think it’s real but, as Twins pointed out with the Baby Cakes thing, incredibly rare.

I don’t normally enjoy grimdark fics, but Fallout: Equestria is good enough to make it enjoyable regardless.

Oh, I requested information from you like that. If I say something silly, then I hope someone will set me straight. But my point was that most people don’t have as much of a tolerance for watching horses enjoy themselves as they do humans. It makes for a unique situation with FiM ponies that renders the arguments and corresponding stances “But they’re cartoons! It doesn’t matter!/But they’re horses! That’s disgusting/But they’re like humans! It’s not so bad!” too simplistic.

I also disagree that we have to find questionable content funny. To rage is to go too far, but I don’t think not finding humor in it makes a person too much of a prude or anything.

As for Dash’s hair, I tend to believe that it is naturally rainbow-colored. We don’t know everything about Dash’s background, but there’s nothing in her personality that leads me to believe that she’s concerned about anything else but being cool. I’d get the feeling she wouldn’t bother dying her hair that regularly.

Now Rarity and her “mid-Atlantic?” accent is probably faked. There is the possibility that she went to some school for a few years once her parents realized that she wanted to live more of a posh lifestyle, so it could have been taught as well.
 
Back to Dash, her name is also Rainbow Dash. Sometimes, it seems like ponies get they’re names from their families’ occupation or their reputation (e.g., Applejack, Apple Bloom, the Cake Twins,) but I think how they look or how they act plays a part (e.g., Pound Cake (hits a lot and is aggressive,) Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy.)

We don’t know anything of Rainbow’s parents, but I think her name came specifically from her mane and how active she was.

My problem with R34 is that its all based upon human foreplay and stimulation. Look at any R34 work (I mean, if that’s okay with you), and odds are, the ponies are drawn with human features, and are quite anatomically inaccurate relative to real horses.

I believe the fault lies within the audience for condoning and supporting the inaccuracies in the works. The R34 artists COULD actually do some research on horse copulation and foreplay irl and incorporate it into their works, but I doubt anyone would want to see that.

You can’t really blame the brony fandom for being “out of control” and “disgusting” like many claim they are. It’s no different than any others, asides from being unexpected, and massive. With any healthy fandom comes a significant amount of fan art, and with any fan art comes the inevitable porn.

We are almost forgetting what R34 stands for in the first place: “If it exists, there is porn of it.”

Are you saying Rarity’s accent is faked? Why, that’s almost worse than claiming Applejack accent is fake! How incredibly uncouth!

I wouldn’t say her accent is “fake”, per se, more so, developed. I mean, you can’t fake an accent that isn’t even spoken anywhere.

We’re starting to overthink this R34 stuff a little bit. I won’t say I didn’t over-exagerate with the Twi-Luna and the Pinkie-Dash stuff, but I think discussing the sexual orientation of real horses and how it relates to MLP is starting to weird me out. In fact, I think I’m just fine with what they’re doing now compared to real horse sexual intercourse.

Nothing brings more chaos and anarchy in a country than when its citizens are fighting amongst each other. After the winning side claims victory, all that’s left is a country torn apart by its residents, and a whole lotta dead citizenry.
That was one of the biggest results of the American Civil War, was that the South was wrecked, and the new union was weaker than what it would be if they had stayed together. It took a while until order was restored.
So when two alicorns are going at each other, and the citizens are also at each other’s throats, then a whole lotta s*** gets messed up.

I feel like Discord might be just as disillusioned as all the ponies. The ponies never fight, so maybe Discord has never seen what violence is. It’s never said what life was like during his rule, so maybe it was just like Ponyville during Return of Harmony. If Discord has never seen violence either, he wouldn’t know to resort to it if he wanted to be evil.

This is what happens when I think hard. Feel free to rip into my theories.

So, yeah. Discord’s greatest way as we’ve seen in making chaos is making the ponies turn against each other. Arguements lead to bad things…
So why not turn it up a notch and create a BIG arguement that causes complete and utter chaos to reign! That seems to be the most logical move in my opinion. the destablization of a people will bring it to crumbs. Then, Discord can take what’s left after the ponies have destroyed themselves.

You guys also asked the question of why some people hate on ponies/bronies earlier on the last page. I have something to say about that too.

First of all it is no mystery. People who dislike ponies have made their points quite clear.

They dislike the spread and density of the meme. They don’t care about cuteness or small cartoon horses but they don’t like how its everywhere and reject it in order to counterbalance the spread (See my theory on the Law of Popularity backlash). This not only puts them at odds with the pony meme, it also makes them bitter against Bronies who continue the spread…especially if Bronies do it forcefully.

Bronies who act as though hating ponies is a terrible offense, hate on the haters and shove ponies in the faces of others are widely considered obnoxious and loathsome. THAT is why some people hate ponies. Make sense?

I also wanted to jump on the steampunk discussion but I missed it. Damn.

anyway reguarding rainbows hair color, id have to say it’s probably natural seeing how all of the characters in the show have really different hair colors and style i don’t see what could be preventing her from having a rainbow colored mane?
