Hi EVERYONE,

If you've been following our subculture and fandom articles in the past month or so, you probably noticed that we have a new staff researcher onboard. Now that she's settled into her new role in the community, I'd like to formally introduce Molly, our newest Tumblr historian and fandom expert!

Molly joined Know Your Meme in January this year, and she comes with an academic background in creative nonfiction and an MFA degree in writing for children and young adults. Before starting here, she's written about internet-y things and fandoms for Mashable and BuzzFeed.

I've noticed her around and knew she was part of the staff already and have interacted a bit. She doesn't talk much on her profile or anywhere else for that matter since she's always busy, so this is a good idea. She is a very good editor, just like the the others (Brad, Don, Amanda, etc.)

I would like to know what goes on in that head of hers not only on a professional level, but personally as well.

Hey guys! I'm just going to answer from top to bottom, starting with Loli's questions

1) What’s up?
Not much, enjoying the temporarily non-freezing New York weather.

2) Are you enjoying your time here in KYM?
I am, everyone has been really welcoming.

3) Do you like MLP?
I've actually never seen the new version, but I inherited a lot of VHS of the '80s version when I was a kid, and I liked that.
4) Do you like anime?

I'm not very familiar with it, but I did go to an anime convention with friends back in high school, and I loved Sailor Moon as a kid.

5) What’s your favorite movie?
Probably a tie between The Princess Bride and Airplane!

6) Do you think Dicaprio is going to win an oscar someday?
I hope so, I'm rooting for him :)

I like the fact that KYM has such extensive coverage. It's been great, I like the work and my co-workers.

I listen to a lot of Broadway soundtracks and classic rock, with some '90s alternative and pop.
