Homestuck Sub-Entries

First take a look at the following lists of sub-entries:

Now the following:

So the point should be clear by that. I believe we've neglected the memes the Homestuck fandom produced a bit too much. The fandom has produced plenty of content, but unlike the other fandoms we chose to only mention them in the main entry.

So the question is simple: Which Homestuck sub-meme do you believe warrants a seperate entry? Give reasons and everything. What made it big? Any unique events it spawned? Canon mentions? Etc. Ideas for entries can easily be grabbed from the main Homestuck entry.

Because I'm attempting to start a multi-entry "project" here on which everyone can jump in, I just want to make one thing clear: Don't create a shitty entry only to leave the actual research to others. If you snipe the idea or lack any decent quality altogether solely to be the OP of the article, I am going to deadpool or even hide it on the spot and you'll get a warning. The credit for being the OP can then go to someone else, someone who's actually willing to contribute to it.

I don't think it's that we've neglected it so much as that the homestuck fandom has collective ADD. They don't create a lot of lasting trends. Most of their activities are covered by the main page. Mostly all the fandom does is make in-jokes (not very notable, just references to Homestuck or Problem Sleuth) and a boatload of art and shipping.

Also, remember that Homestuck created the ask blog. That's not going to be parented for obvious reasons, but there are huge things that the homestuck fandom has done.

Some ideas for potential entries:
1. An event page for the kickstarter
2. A person page for Andrew Hussie
3. Homestuck AUs (could fit under the Alternate Universe entry too, there's just a tone of these.)

That's all I have. As I said before, most of what the fandom does doesn't qualify as memes for me. To short a duration. I guess we can try to make entries out of some of the things mentioned on the main page…

EDIT: Someone already went ahead and made a homestuck AU page. Great work. Also, we might want to make a sweet bro and hella jeff page under homestuck and put I Warned You About the Stairs under that.

This is an unfair comparison, in my opinion.

Just because Homestuck is a huge fandom doesn't automatically mean that it needs to have tons of sub-entries. It's very different from all of the examples RM listed.

Now, I'm not arguing against adding more entries about Homestuck, I'm just saying you shouldn't have the same expectations for every subculture.

Well, duh. Of course you shouldn't have the same expectations for each fandom, but that doesn't justify threatening them as less. The reason I made this topic wasn't only the number of sub-entries compared to other fandom entries, but also the smallness of some. Quite some sub-entries in the other fandoms are limited to the fandom, going as small as one-liners or fanfics, with more than one being confirmed.

The Pokemon entry was created after we already had a shitload of sub-entries, they were just given summaries to the main one afterwards. The Homestuck entry was created before any submeme had a chance to bloom. Due to this different order, we simply left it as it is. We simply didn't bother with creating seperate entries, they were already given mentions in the main entry anyway (harr harr).

Not to forget one point that way too many of you seem to forget way too many damn times: Limited to one site or community =/= reason to not make an entry. It isn't an argument nor will it ever be, unless you want us to deadpool every 4chan entry with no exceptions to be made.

Although limited to Homestuck, some are big enough that a mere mention in the main entry will no longer do. One line I believe deserves a seperate entry is "Let Me Tell You About Homestuck". It has limited variations, but is used so goddamn many times.

Well, I'm done adding pics to the Andrew Hussie entry. Perhaps it could use some info about recurring topics in his blog posts and comics, like Olive Garden and Soul Portrait (interrelated), fancy santas, his flaming stallion and football player painting, oh gog, so many others…
I'd really like to help with the entry, but I'm such a bad writer… Unless someone wants to help me help with the entry, you can contact me here in my KYM profile or in Steam…
So here are some sources, and I hope you find them useful (when I first got into Homestuck I started doing research on him and read all of what I'm posting here, now I'm a big fan of Andrew Hussie the person):

… I forgot what I was gonna add here.

TV Tropes has a list of what it considers to be "memes" spawned by Homestuck, found here

Their legitimacy is highly questionable; I'd just like for it to be known that this exists.

Yeah, I was going to add that. Thanks for the links though, saved me a lot of googling.

TvTropes tends to go really broad on fandom memes, far from all being noteworthy for documentation on KYM. So yeah, I wouldn't use that as a trustworthy source unless it has its own personal page.
