About

Buffalo Bills Pit or Bills Sacrificial Stadium Pit refers to a rumored superstition among fans of the NFL football team the Buffalo Bills that if a fan falls into a hole in the construction area where the team's new stadium is being built, it means the team will win. After it was discovered by social media users in January 2024, jokes about Bills fans "sacrificing" people to "the pit" spread among sports fans online, spawning memes and discourse.

The "pit" they're referring to is the construction site for the Bills' new stadium. The tweet gained over 260 retweets and 1,100 likes in five days (shown below).
