Ike Quotes features a series quotes said by the character Ike from Super Smash Brothers Brawl. These quotes are commonly combined with images and photoshops featuring Ike.
Origin
In March of 2008, Nintendo released the game Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a fighting game for the Wii. One of the playable characters was Ike, a swordman from Fire Emblem and the commander of the Greil Mercenaries. Three quotes from Ike in SSBB quickly became popular on the Internet.
The quotes themselfs where never actually said in any of the Fire Emblem games, but are not out of character as his in game actions imply.
The Fire Emblem games are famous for the large deep cast and inclusion of permanent death, meaning that once a character falls in battle the game continues without them (with the exception of a main character, who will cause a game over when he or she dies), making every ally precious. Some of Ike’s power ups in the game, such as “Provoke”, will force enemies to attack him first if he is within their range, effectively shielding his allies. In some instances where Ike is forced to fight his former comrades however (a often situation in Raidient Dawn), without hesitation he will fight them to the death.

Multiple quotes of Ike have gained popularity, with the most popular being:
- “I fight for my friends.” In SSBB, this was one of Ike’s victory quotes.
- “You’ll get no sympathy from me.” This was another victory quote.
- “Prepare yourself.” This was Ike’s side taunt in SSBB, and would also play though the Wii Remote when you selected him on the Character Select screen.
