Another /b/ meme, the Invisible X meme started off as an image macro depiciting a cat in a photo doing something with an “invisible object”. It has further spread across the internet and no longer just depicts cats in the images.

Although Googling the word Invisible would seem counterintuitive due to the generic nature of a single, common, English word, Starting in 2008 there was an unprecedented rise in interest for the word Invisible.

A simple Google Images search returns images of cats with Invisible objects at the forefront.

Although it’s not entirely clear which image started the Invisible X meme, what is clear is how it’s rooted in Caturday.
