The internet loves to turn simple typos and misspellings, like bogos binted and Why he ourple, into memes. One of the biggest examples of this in recent years, which is known online as the Skamtebord genre, is I forgor 💀, a misspelled version of "I forgot" that shoved itself into the online lexicon after showing up in a tweet to Walmart. Here's the full story.

Where Does "I Forgor 💀" Come From?

On February 5th, 2021, Twitter user @ItsNotSeabass tweeted at Walmart, "Hey @Walmart I have a question." Walmart, being a massive conglomerate that truly cares for their customers, swiftly responded, "Hi there! How can we be of assistance?" ItsNotSeabass responded a minute later, "I forgor 💀," gaining over 25,000 likes.

The screenshot went viral over the next few days, especially through reposts on Instagram. In the following months, users were spam commenting "I forgor 💀" on every post possible, using it as an ultimate shutdown to anyone asking a question online. It also inspired more than a few memes on just about every platform out there.

How Is "I Forgor 💀" Used In Memes?

"I Forgor 💀" is used in a few ways in memes and online. Most popularly, it's used as a slang term as a funny alternative to "I forgot" whenever someone wants to do a little trolling. Beyond conversationally, the term has also showed up in a lot of ironic image macros and videos, such as this "get rich quick" edit by Instagram user baby.hood.moments.

One of the most popular memes using the term that really helped it spread is a Photoshop edit where it appears as if Walmart responds to NotSeaBass telling him to kill himself. The meme, however, is a confirmed fake, as told to Know Your Meme by NotSeaBass himself in an interview from August 2021.
