The varying ages of the men and their visible activity shocked the website's visitors.

The interesting and funny thing about Lemon Party was how people tricked others into visiting the website. Many memes at the time snuck the domain name, lemonparty.org, into any image macro on the web. The general knowledge of the website online became so pervasive that celebrities even joined the fun, namely Michael Cera and Jonah Hill back when they were promoting Superbad.

Therefore, the resurgence of Lemon Party discourse is just a recurring symptom of the internet in general, meaning these shock sites are timeless.
