So-called iFunniers treated the duet like an exploitable template, recaptioning and replacing "Christmas" with absurd sound effects and subjects, like the Metal Pipe Falling sound, for instance.

The surreal nature of the meme trend was widely related to the video genre of 21st Century Humor and the later slang term "brain rot."

The humor behind the trend mostly centers on the girl's strange cadence and diction. Like, why does she use the word "information?" Capitalizing on this, meme creators made the video even stranger by replacing what she was excited about.
