What's The 'I Did It, I Saved The Town' Billford Animation? The Lewd 'Gravity Falls' Animation Explained
A viral and lewd "Billford" animation shipping the characters Stanford Pines and Bill Cipher is making the Gravity Falls fandom light their eyes on fire. It's now known by one infamous quote: "I did it. I saved the town."
The animation dropped on YouTube and Twitter / X last week and it's sent shockwaves across TikTok. Memes that focus on Pines' "I saved the town" audio are becoming viral videos, showing that odd moment at the animation's end when he's looking out of a window, shirtless with his hands on his hips while the sun sets over the freshly-saved town.
So, who is the original animator? What is the "I Did It, I Saved the Town" Billford animation and why is it viral? Let's explain.
Where Did The 'I Did It, I Saved The Town' Billford Animation Come From?
The original animation video was created by animator Mango Pablo. In late August, he previewed the animation on YouTube, showing what seemed to be the first minute of the full-length piece.
In it, the Gravity Falls characters Stanford Pines and Bill Cipher are talking suggestively. To save the town, Pines must get dirty with Cipher.
In September, Mango Pablo dropped the full animation on his exclusive Patreon. At the same time, he dropped the final clip to YouTube, showing Pines post-coital saying, "I did it. I saved the town."
Who Is Animator Mango Pablo?
Mango Pablo is an animator who posts explicit fan-made animations and art to Twitter / X and Patreon. He's mostly active on X and has been a member of the platform since 2021. However, his most recent "I Saved the Town" animation has been his most successful so far in his career.
What Are The 'I Did It, I Saved The Town' Memes?
After the clips from the animation went viral on X, fans of Gravity Falls let their curiosity get the better of them. Some paid for the full Patreon experience.
In turn, these fans turned to TikTok where they vented, predominantly sharing the moment of Pines staring out of the window and saying, "I did it. I saved the town." His triumphant affirmation was inherently funny given the graphic pipeline that led him there.
Like other notoriously lewd animations like Freedom Day and Ankha Zone, "I Did It, I Saved the Town" follows the same Don't Google bait premise. Fans of Gravity Falls will tell others to not check out the video and the joke lies in the surprisingly shocking material that the innocent "I saved the town" quote misleads.
