On March 8th, 2025, TIkToker^[1] @dytzz88 posted a meme consisting of an AI-generated image of a sad skeleton with a cellphone for a head holding a cellphone that can't connect to the Wi-Fi network.

The meme begins with a text-to-speech voice yelling, "hotspot bro," followed by a speech in Indonesian that seems to warn against giving an "anomaly" your Wi-Fi hotspot, claiming that the anomaly will use the hotspot to download large files, such as the data for Genshin Impact. The video gained over 10 million views in just under two weeks.

When run through Google Translate, the Indonesian speech translates to:
