See The Winner Of August 2022's Meme Of The Month!
And the meme of August 2022 goes to…
The man, the chad, the legend, Dr. Livesey SWEEPS the August 2022 poll with 38 percent of votes with his laugh, optimisim and his Dr. Livesey Walk re-animation format. It's hard to believe that within a span of a month a supporting character from a 1988 Soviet animated film Treasure Island became one of the most popular memes, all thanks to his radiant smile, boundless optimism and perfect posture. Setting a new standard for chads everywhere, the perfect specimen of Soviet animation gets the first place on our poll.
Put Your Dick Way, Walter
In the second place with nine percent of your votes, we have Breaking Bad's forbidden romance in Put Your Dick Away, Walter. The series of memes that started with Mike engaging Walter for a some sensual lovemaking quickly mutated into a format in which Mike warns Walter against doing stupid stuf, both to no fruition and to much frustration on Mike's part.
Girl Explaining
Explaining the lore intricacies of The Sims, and Harry Potter and lecturing on some advanced astrology, the Girl Explaining meme format finally provided us with a female version of "Bro Explaining" meme formats such as Milk Edinburgh and John Silver Explaining to Anna Jay. A new flagbearer for gender equality for memes and one of the most-used memes of the month, Denise Sanchez scores third place on our monthly poll with eight percent of total votes.
"In The Virtual End"
It starts with one thing, I don't know why, it doesn't even matter how hard you try, keep that in mind, I designed this rhyme to explain in due time.
All I know, time is a valuable thing, watch it fly by as the pendulum swings. Watch it count down to the end of the day the clock ticks life away, it's so unreal…
The best Linkin Park cover band in meme history gets fourth place thanks to six percent of your votes.
The One Piece Is Real / One Piece Cock Edits
Sharing the fifth place with six percent of your votes is very real, very NSFW One Piece meme featuring Whitebeard, Kanye West and actor Patrick Fabian, The One Piece Is Real. Launced by now-famous image of character Whitebeard sporting a massive dong, the format blew up in August 2022 as people spammed it with Kanye West's "Dark Fantasy" and with actor Patrick Fabian's Cameo clip in which he solemny announces that the One Piece is real. This is just the tip of the iceberg, though, and Cock Piece will likely go down in history as one of the top shitposting trends of 2022.

Name Soundalikes
Also sharing the fifth place is one of the more inventive formats of 2022 which blew up near the middle of August: Name Soundalikes. Words and phrases which kind-of-sort-of sound like names of celebrities and characters (for example, "the Bronze Jade" for LeBron James and "bitter coleslaw" for Better Call Saul) have been getting highlighted with red circles, arrows pointing to those who they are meant to represent. Hooray for pattern recognition!
That's it for our six top dogs, but that doesn't mean that the other candidates should be completely fogotten. Here's to the memes that didn't have the love of the KYM populace to make it to the top: the empowering The Indomitable Human Spirit (4%), the sincerely wholesome Corn Kid (4%), the redraw-licious He Wants to Order (4%), Momlife Comics and the many differences between a wife and her husband listed there (4%), getting Lobstered with the Blue Lobster (3%), Chris-Chan Prison Escape with the "would be funny if it actually happened" category (3%), A-Train's unbound hate for happy couples (3%) and Andrew Tate getting banned from every single thing (2%).
