The weekend's most popular memes were ones that had been brewing for a while before bubbling up to the spotlight. A long-awaited anime adaptation to Please Don't Bully Me, Nagatoro, a swag mobile called Drip Car, the long-awaited Josh Fight and the struggle known by millions for years, the McDonald's Ice Cream Machine, have decided that last weekend was the time to pop off. An honorable mention goes to Weidman's leg, which suffered a grievous injury, and luckily hasn't received the same treatment that Nate Robinson did.

Please Don't Bully Me, Nagatoro

Please Don't Bully Me, Nagatoro is a Doujinishi that became a licensed manga by Kodansha before securing an anime adaptation for itself. The anime adaptation had a large amount of hype surrounding it, with the initial announcement having over 100,000 retweets and 266,000 likes. The plot of the anime is that a female student, named Nagatoro, likes to bully an older student, with the series being from his point of view.

Drip Car

Drip Car is the name of a photoshopped picture of a BMW Z4. The picture is edited to have a color hue overlaid, then a logo or image is added to the car door and often a trap music beat representing the logo will be applied to make it into a video meme. The possible applications of this are nearly limitless, as there are a large number of products, albums and various references that can be made with Drip Car.

McDonald's Ice Cream Machine

McDonald's Ice Cream Machine refers to the constant struggle that is faced by people who try to go get McDonald's ice cream past 10 p.m. It seems like, no matter what, they will always say the ice cream machine is broken as if they don't know that late-night hours are the best ones for getting ice cream. After years of pent-up frustration, the memes have finally coalesced and people are rallying together to vent about it.

Josh Fight

Over the weekend, the highly anticipated Josh Fight took place in Nebraska with a surprisingly high turnout. Originally started by a screenshot of a Facebook group message consisting of a number of people named "Josh Swain" in which the original Josh gives the other members of the group specific coordinates and tells them to meet on April 24th, 2021, for a battle royale to decide who keeps the name, this meme was easily the most viral this weekend. The ultimate outcome of the battle saw 4-year-old champion "Little Josh" walk away with the crown, forcing all other Joshes to bend the knee to their new king.
