Overview
The Real World Hack or the Hustlers University Hack refers to reports that Andrew Tate's online course "The Real World," formerly known as "Hustlers University," which is run through Discord, was hacked, with over 794,000 usernames, 320,000 email addresses and the contents of 95 private chat servers were obtained and leaked. The hackers also reportedly spammed the university's main chat channel, "The Real World," with trans pride flags, the Boykisser meme and other LGBTQ+ related symbols. The story broke in late November 2024 and the contents of the hack were made available on the Distributed Denial of Secrets website, spreading online in the following hours and days.
Background
On November 21st, 2024, The Daily Dot[1] reported that a hacktivist group hacked Andrew Tate's online course "The Real World," formerly known as "Hustlers University." The group reportedly leaked data on 800,000 users on the server. The report claims that over 320,000 email addresses were included in the leak, along with the contents of 395 private chat servers and over 200 public chat servers. The report claims that the group makes over $5.6 million per month.
It was also reported that the hacker group spammed the server, which they described as "hilariously insecure," with several LGBTQ-related Emojis and symbols, including Emojis of the Boykisser meme, a trans pride flag, a raised feminist fist and an AI-generated image of Andrew Tate with a pride flag draped around his body. A screenshot of the Emojis added to the server was provided.
The contents of the hack were made publically available on the Distributed Denial of Secrets[2] website, with the file coming in at roughly 14.1 gigabytes.
Online Reactions
News of the hack garnered viral spread online following the report and story breaking. For example, on November 21st, 2024, the X[3] account @CultureCrave shared the article, garnering over 102,000 likes in a day. That day, X[4] user @theserfstv posted, "Andrew Tate just got hacked by what appears to once again be the work of the gay furries," garnering over 1,200 likes in the same span of time.
Also on November 21st, X[5] user @Gadget44027447 shared a screenshot supposedly from the server showing that The Real World offers lawn mowing, dog walking and snow shoveling courses, garnering over 450 likes in a day. The veracity of this claim and the screenshot is unconfirmed.
X[6] user @Pixelbooks_ posted several photographs of the hack on November 21st, 2024, writing, "Guess they really don’t like us trying to improve ourselves." The photos show the Emojis in the university, arranged to spell out phrases like "Andrew Tate loves kissing femboys" and "Tate is cute gay gooner."
