Revenge of the Mafia: Reckoning

Guys, stop being idiots.

Crow's avatar is the plague doctor from Assassin's Creed. The plague doctor specialized in selling medicines that you used to poison people in the game.

As the plague doctor said "In large quantities, that which heals can also kill."

Edit: So quit being idiots and just vote for Crow.

Actually my avatar is just a random plague doctor imagine that I found on Google's imagine, not the one from Assassin's Creed. Also's remember the time we killed Twisty just because he was lazying off on Fallout? Yeah nice way of repeating that event because my avatar just so happens to be something relating to medical stuff.

Oh so because some one died from poison that means that the freaken plague doctor did it, here's a secret with poisons, any random sod can use them you don't need a degree to use them. Hell you can even use laundry detergent to poison someone. I say &Laud* is hell of a lot more suspicious than me, infact to prove my innocence I willing to duel her/he right here, right now.

Just to confirm Crow, were you voting for Laud in that post?

Well if my memory is correct Laud is female right (again I think my memory is fuzzy on this detail). Well throughout history poisons were the most favorite weapon used by women who wanted anyone dead, especially men. Not only can they kill someone without having their hands dirty but they can easily pin the blame to someone else. And before you say anything else I know about this because I know a lot about history, not about poisons.

Hmm, I may need to rethink my choice. I got Laud as my current vote. Do I trust Bob and change the vote to Crow or believe Crow and stick with Laud as my vote?

CrowTheMagician wrote:

This wouldn't be the last time me and Bob were in this situation, though instead of being a mafia member it was a werewolf and back than I proved that I was innocent like now.

Except back then you were desperately pleading to stay alive. Begging and practically crying.

Your demeanor is much different this time. I tend to analyze situations and behaviors. That's how I once caught chowz as mafia, because he didn't act like the chowz we all know.

You're not acting the same way you were acting when you were innocent-being-thought-as-guilty. You're far more comfortable this time, almost as if you've come to accept that the jig is up.

Begging I can agree with but crying no, raving like a mad man is much more truer than crying cause I have hard time doing that.

The reason I'm not acting like a desperate made man that you find on the streets yelling about lizard men and the end times is because for one that isn't really going to help my case and second it's less of me accepting that the jig is up as more that I'm confident that people will want to take out the quiet one first than the one that is talkative, plus this wouldn't be the first time something was presented as a clue only for it to be a red herring, which I believe is what the bottle is.

This is roleplay, nobody is obliged to keep their original personalities. And what's so special about wanting to be alive? Mafia is stressful, you never know what might happen to you during the night.

This isn't roleplay though. Believing it to be such is a construct of your own choosing.

The fact is that the clue was about poison. No other user in this game has some correlation to poison. We don't have much time left, and I think we should focus our votes on Crow.

Again anybody can use poisons as weapon if they are smart and patient enough to use them correctly, you don't need to be a doctor or an assassin to use them. Hell the internet makes using poisons much easier now.

But it wouldn't be included if it wasn't a hint to the identity of a mafioso. If anyone could use it as you say, it wouldn't have been given as a clue.

Crimea would have been better off telling us: "You find the mafia's place abandoned. After searching, you discern that- yup- people lived here."

Your attempts to hide behind the availability of poisons to the general public falls short because it was a clue tailored to point to the identity of a mafioso. Who else but a plague doctor would be involved with poisons of any kind? Who in this game? I dare you to give me a reasonable argument on anyone's behalf.

DAY 5: July 5, 1934

After the fruitless search for Kay-Wy-Eff-Pea-Em-Em, the citizens resume their daily routine of putting suspicious members on trial. After finding Stanley's notes regarding the poison found at the crime scene, Bob is quick to accuse Marty Crow who works at the pharmacy down the street. Bob points out that he is the only person who would have access to the medicine and that he must therefore be guilty of poisoning Randy. Crow attempts to defend himself by placing the blame on Laudette Pye, but doesn't have any evidence to back up his claims. In the end, it isn't enough and it is decided that he must be guilty. Someone proposes that he be executed via lethal injection, as a form of poetic justice for his crimes. After being strapped in and being injected with a lethal dose of morphine, he stares into Bobs eyes and utters his last words: "You got me you bastard". Marty Crow, now lying dead before them, was a member of the Mafia.

NIGHT PHASE: 24 Hours Remain

Well done guys! Another mafia ousted, oh, and sorry for the eyes, Bob. I was about to change my vote from Laud to Crow, but it was too late. Crimea, could you tell us how many mafia members are left?

Last edited Jul 15, 2015 at 04:03PM EDT

Whoooo! Nice work, guys! Only 2 left!
Team NON:
- Chowz
- Roarshack (Dead: One of the Fuzz)
- Bob (Citizen)
- Laud Piestrings
- Hackenbacker

Team Roarshack:

- No Original Names (Dead: The Spy)
- Mr Stalker
- KYFPMM (Now dead: Citizen)
- Arch Dornan (Dead: Mafia Member)
- Freelancer

Team Other:

- RandomMan (Voted) (Dead: Citizen)
- Medamonster (Voted)
- Crow (Voted) (Now dead: Mafia)
- Stalemate (Now dead: One of the fuzz)
- ShiJo
- Twisty (Dead: Citizen)
- Max Burg IV
- justThisFool (Removed: Citizen)

Now, there should be 1 mafia in "Team NON" and 1 in "Team Other".

There are currently 2 mafia, 1 snitch, 1 doctor, and 5 citizens remaining.

NIGHT 6: July 6, 1934

That night, the citizens are all expecting the worst to happen. What does happen however, is something that no one would have expected. One of the Mafia pays a visit to the home of Madam Monstoire, who runs the only brothel in town. As soon as he enters through the house though, he finds a masked figure waiting for him. It clearly isn't Madam Monstoire, and the only other person who could have possibly known where he would be was the Snitch. Without saying a word, the snitch raises a gun towards the mafia member and says "I'm not going to let you get away with any more of this madness". The mafia member dives behind a couch just before the snitch fires and manages to pull out his own gun. After what seemed like hours of fighting but was only a few seconds, Madam Montoire comes rushing down the stairs, woken by the two fighters. The mafia members sees a chance and takes it, firing a bullet directly into Madam Monstoire's chest. As she falls, the snitch makes a move to try and save her while the mafia member escapes through the window. Unfortunately, the snitch is not a trained doctor and is unable to save the victim. It was only by pure bad luck that Madam Monstoire is dead and not the mafia member.

Welp, we just lost our snitch. RIP Medamonster. So, here's our Elite 8:

Team NON:

Me
Bob (Citizen)
Laud
Hackenbacker

Team Roarshack:

Mr. Stalker
Freelancer

Team Other:

ShiJo
Max Burg IV

We still have a doctor on our side. Need to get this next one right if we want a 5 vs. 1 advantage in the final 6, otherwise, we'll be down to our last two chances.

I'm busy today so I'll keep this short and quick.

Crow was mafia, I was right. That means that either Hackenbacker or Laud is mafia, only one though.

It's strange to me that Max Burg would rise from the dead suddenly to defend Crow.

Therefore, we hold a tie between Laud and Max. I vote for Laud.

Edit: Wait. Medamonster is not the snitch. But the snitch did investigate him last night. It was just a coincidence.

Edit 2: Also, will the snitch contact me via PM? It's very hard to keep you alive if I don't know who you are.

Tough one, but I'm voting for Max this time.

Hey Crimea, if the playing field goes down to just 2 people (1 citizen and 1 mafia), what happens next?

If at any point the number of mafia players is equal to the number of non-mafia (including the doctor and the snitch), then the mafia will win.

Also, I forgot to put this in the other post:

The following players MUST vote this round or they will be removed for inactivity:

  • Shijo
  • Max Bur IV

I'd like to point out that Max Burg has been active in the last villager phase and this phase. We also know that one mafioso suddenly started being active, from Crimea's description.

I have to wonder if that's related.

Also, I just feel the need to point out something. On the first night, Crow voted for someone outside of the two we tied. That would mean that there is no chance there were two mafia voting for one of the ties because the number of votes were even.

That means that everyone else on Team Roarshach from Day 1 is innocent.

DAY 6: July 6 1934

The number of people in attendance at the town meetings is growing smaller and smaller every day. Bob once again suggests that the two most suspicious people duel against one another. In this case, it is Max Burgman, a quiet fellow who mostly keeps to himself, and Laudette Pye, who is usually much more outspoken at meetings but has remained much quieter as of late. Most of the council agrees that a duel is best with the exception of Max who tries to accuse Colin Stalker but to no avail. The weapon of choice is once again pistols. Without saying a word, the crowd moves out to the field where the duel between Hannah Baker and Stanley Mates had taken place. The two accused stand back to back at begin to count out ten paces. Both wheel around on a dime and take a single shot. Laudette only manages to graze Max's ear. Max's shot also only manages to graze Laudette, but unfortunately for her, it grazed her jugular. She quickly falls to the ground holding both hands to her neck to try and stop the bleeding, to no avail. The crowd gathers around her and just before she is about to pass out from blood loss, she says to the crowd "I'll see you fuckers in hell". It would appear that Laudette Pye was the third member of the Mafia

Night Phase: 24 Hours Remain

This means that Hackenbacker is innocent. The final tie is between Max and ShiJo. My money is on Max personally, but we'll see.

Edit: Wait! Wait! WAIT!

There was a tie this round. The tie was between Laud and Max. The tie must have been an even 3-3 because Laud was one of the two remaining mafia, therefore, there could not have been a mafia vote in the tie.

ShiJo voted for Laud. Therefore, ShiJo is innocent. Our final mafioso is Max.

NIGHT 7: July 7, 1934

The single remaining member of the mafia knows that things are coming to a head. The decision is made that even though the Doctor is still about, Bob has simply been far too vocal and must finally be taken out. Bob is still in the hospital, so the Mafia slips into his room in the middle of the night while no one is looking and Bob is asleep. It would be appropriate for Bob to die in the same way as Randy since they were close friends, so the Mafia adds a lethal dose of Morphine to Bob's IV drip. Seconds later, Bob is dead and the Mafia member is long escaped. One of the few remaining Citizens had been killed.

DAY PHASE: 24 Hours Remain

Before Bob passed away, he he had scribbled a note and hastily placed in in the drawer beside his bed. It is discovered the next morning:

Dammit, Dr. Freelan, I told you to keep protecting me.

Oh well, you guys know what to do

DAY 7: July 7, 1934

It has been one week since the mafia began to kill the citizens. Three of the mafia are dead and only one remains. The villagers once again gather and decide who is guilty. In honor of Bob's passing, almost all of the villagers vote for Max Burgman, the only exceptions being Shane Jones and Max himself. After the votes are tallied, Max doesn't say a word, and goes willingly with the villagers out to a gallows. The rope is placed around his neck as the crowd gathers around at his feet. Before the lever is pulled, Max is asked if he has any last words. He says nothing but takes a moment to stare into the eyes of each person who had condemned him to death. The lever is pulled and the rope goes taught, and moments later Max Burgman, the final member of the Mafia, is dead.

Special Role Actions

Nice job villagers.

Dang, checked the special roles actions sheet. It's common you're dealing with villagers being inactive because they have no special role, but this is the first time I'm seeing a mafia game where it's the mafia who get inactive.
