I guess that's another thing to be defined. There's that random brown pony from Best Night Ever and Feeling Pinkie Keen with no cutie mark. Maybe not every individual equine gets one, but every species goes through that process on the whole.

I wonder if equines without cutie marks are relegated for comic relief…

EDIT:
With Gigatoast previous thought, maybe just some ponies, but only ponies specifically. Not all of them.

I don't think he was a pony, he coulda been some other kind of equine. Considering the relationships ponies have with other equines there's no reason they can't coexist.

Plus they do love to hammer in the idea that every pony will get a cutie mark eventually, so either Gramps has a pretty blatant animation error or he's some other species.

I almost shat bricks at this (I don't know how to hyper link through my text so I just link em)

Well I see the thread has devolved again, I guess I'll go listen to the new Bronyville and finally finish my comic.

(sees shot of vid…doesn't need to watch it)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh think I'm going to head that way too. I'll come back after they've gone to bed.

I watch this and read cupcakes before bed every night

I watch that, read Cupcakes, read Sweet Apple Massacre, AND I watch an episode of G3 ponies ever night.
I'm kinda going insane.

Ok lets get back to business now lets poniefy this I got a good idea how.

Weeaboo will be replaced with bananas.
and instead of getting paddled the pony that says bananas will get launched to the moon unsuspectingly. (Like you fall into a barrel of a cannon that comes from out of no where.) Every one will be chanting bananas also.

Like Super Mario 64?
God I love that game.

@Daniel Vazquez
What I find odd about that picture that it makes Fluttershy look like she is made of plastic for some reason (Possible because she is shiny looking).

Let's see… topic of discussion is creepypasta.

@Ric: That gif you linked… doesn't matter which dimension I'm in, if Fluttershy does that, I'm whippin' out the good ol' super shotty and performing some impromptu demon cleansing. Because that is not Fluttershy. Demonshy is evil.

@Scootabuse photo: In that case, use invisibility to your advantage. You know who else is good at being invisible? Ninjas. So the answer is simple: be a ninja.

@Cite's Derpy photo: God damn, why must Derpy and Dinky be cute together? It's overloading my… wait, what do I use as buffers?

Anyways, have little over an hour to be here. Lezrock!

Alright everyone, discussion time.
What's your opinion on OCs?
I have no qualms with them, usually, so long as they ain't Mary Sues/shameless self inserts. If they're well written and have an actual personality, they can be pretty cool. Sadly, most don't seem to be.

Also, does anyone else find it annoying much of the fandom adores random background ponies with completely fan-made personalities, but hate OCs?

If it's a shameless self-insert, then you're better off just marking it as an SI to begin with. (And SIs can be written well: Mass Vexations is an example, but I digress.)

Mary Sues… kill them.

If they aren't SSIs, or Mary Sues, then I have no problem with OCs.

And now that you bring it up… huh. I guess it's just the usual stigma with some OCs, not just in MLP, but in other media works, that they're usually sub-par or overpowered. It takes effort to write an OC well.

We have done this discussion before (I'm not going to track it down in the old thread) but as to your second question: background characters have no story so you can make up your own. Sometimes the made up stories are better than the show versions and OC's. Plus I think OC's get a bad rep from bronies and spreads like….. well this is the internet.

Regarding Vexations, it's one of the few fanfics I ever read before becoming a brony (ponies seem to be the only thing I like with fanfics, can't stomach 'em with any other show/game/whathaveyou).

It was possibly the only thing I've ever read that did a self insert right.
…Although, I admittedly did stop reading it as soon as Benezia stopped time.
Blarg.
