Just to let you all know, I'm gonna be posting a bit less on here (just a bit). I've realized since I've stopped lurking, I haven't been keeping tabs on many things. Doing a quick check through the first few pages of this thread I've found some negative karma posts. Obviously some people have been visiting our older posts and voting them down. But yes, for the good of the community, I'm going to return to my note taking. I'll still be here reading, though.

Edit: Forgot to mention that page 3 is where I found the negatives if anyone is interested.

Edit2: @IvanP91: I don't think it matters at all. It just annoys people. So I enjoy bringing it up. When karma is involved, someone will rage.

So I finally get around to the episode, and this was all I could think of.

About karma – there's always going to be karma whores out there. Ivan's right: it doesn't matter, but there will always be people who put way too much store in it. It does have a practical purpose though, as a post with too much negakarma will be hidden.

Actually, for me it's more for the research. I've always enjoyed studying people. And even though I consider you all good people that doesn't mean I can't take my time studying you all. In my experience friendships age and die, but knowledge, knowledge is forever. That's not saying I don't appreciate your friendships, I really do. But that doesn't mean I won't take notes.

Sorry man, but I just can't go donwvoting things like that. The karma sistem is basically the easiest way to show your appreciation or dislike on someone's post, and should be used for so. The only problem is that is counted and some people care way too much about it or keep whoring for it.
