Sure, we can't all draw, so it's "good" But I've seen that same model in the same pose one (45) too many times.

I think Verbose might be drunk (the poor lad). And, it was Deviantart where the generic pony maker originated from (I think). Don't take my word as law though, can I possibly get a confirmation on that?

There are other poses that the ponies can be put in. It's just a way to get a visual representation of your OC.

It's like you just said. Not all of us can draw. I dislike it when people use it to show off a picture of their latest totalli awsum OC as well, but still Verbose, geeze. It's fun to use.

I'm pretty sure the Pony Maker was made by just one person on DeviantArt. I would normally be opposed to burning DeviantArt to the ground because of a single submission, but in this case I'm willing to make an exception.

Okay, I might be exaggerating here just a bit. It doesn't actually bother me that much, but I do wish we could see some more variety in OC ponies. The Pony Maker even allows you to edit the pose, and yet everyone sticks with the boring standard one.

It's a simple pose. It just allows anyone who may see the pictures see everything there is to… see.
Really, I think you guys are overexaggerating a bit here. Not everyone is good at drawing, and sometimes people want to make visual representations. What's wrong with that?

Well, I see it in a different way. Are we all aware of the sonic fandom? And how they have many poorly drawn OCs? I have nothing against the sonic fandom, especially since I've loved sonic as a child. But some people should really practice before attempting to make an OC. With the pony generator we can see their OCs with some decent artwork, instead of having to see the… lackluster artwork. Sorry if I sound cruel, but this is my view on it. Also, I have nothing against the sonic fandom, it was just the biggest example I could think of.

People of the sonic fandom do not call there characters OC's they call there character's FC's i have never seen a sonic fan call there FC and OC i'm just pointing it out and yes i am really Aware of the sonic fandom.

well i may want to thank verbose after his post about burning pony maker to the ground i got the idea insted of drawing with the pencil too in the image editor i use i could use the line tool so i hope i can be able to draw soon.

I'm not really a fan either of those zero effort OCs.

I don't mean that they should burn to the ground. But they're all the f*cking same. I don't mind if they at least get some variety. Instead of always that same black mane and grey coat with a cutie mark that has something with music 90% of the time. Standing in that same position.

I kinda regret making that last post. I get the impression that some of you took it more seriously than I intended. I don't actually get annoyed by those OC's, and I have nothing against anyone who uses them. I was only commenting on the lack of variety. So, yeah… my bad.

That's a good point actually. I'll take General Zoi's ponies over crappy artwork any day.

I wouldn't say Citation is unbronylike. The only thing that defines you as a brony is a love of the show or the fandom. Cynicism doesn't even come into it. Also, that is indeed an awesome gif.

Oh, geez, guys. I wasn't serious about it. I don't like the way they look, that's very true, and I've felt that way for a long time. But plenty of other things bother me more than generic looking OCs. Heck, the show uses a lot of the same poses.

His colors made him the easyest of my fanfic ponies to draw ( i have drawn all of them in pencil), but but i did not get a chance to scan them. and i use it rarely now, so you can burn it all you want. take it out on GeneralZoi, though, not the rest of the site. il even help if you want.

Im a little late to the discussion, but I agree with Verbose on this one. Not everyone is good at making art, but that is what makes it special. If everyone could draw, well, then It wouldn't really be anything special. The OC pony creator is just like go animate In my opinion. They both substitute creativity and talent with Laziness and Mediocrity. This video sums it up pretty well…
Don't take this the wrong way, I don't think that anyone who uses it is lazy, but It doesn't really give people incentive to actually try drawing. Its just so easy, thats the problem I have with it.

Though I don't judge people for using it, I wouldn't use it myself.

This, this is the reason why I use it. While I would like to be able to draw, yeah, that's not going to happen.

So, to make a long story short, I'm glad that exist.
