We're not real, Pyro. Do you think there are really tons of near adult and adult males getting behind My Little Freakin' Pony?
And if we are real, we're probably bad apples. We probably ditched class, smoked reefer in the bathroom, and released chickens labeled 1, 2, and 4 in the hallways. We're probably also minorities too. We probably also don't speak English and want to take your jobs
And we're democrats. F*ckin' democrats…they're not patriotic enough. Or something.
So to get us back on topic (because my original post was there wasn’t that many uploads from new episodes) are we starting to slow down? Are we slipping? Are we not happy with the new shows? What’s the deal people?
I even noticed a lack of discussion about the new episodes.
A few things. I'll try to be somewhat brief.
- We've had a few tiffs here recently. We can say we're over it, but all of the stuff we rant and rage about hasn't changed. Doesn't the "air" still feel a little heavy on the thread?
- We have more posters here that like different things. I don't know how many times I've seen that The Simpsons gif. I see when we're mid-discussion. I see it mid-roleplaying. I see it mid-image dump.
- We're starting to become…friends. I think we used to just be people who were tied together by ponies. Now we're tied by (dare I say it,) ourselves. But we're very different people. It can work out, but friendships are supported by similarities more than differences.
- There are a lot more people who don't mind confrontation on here. It used to be just CitationNeeded. But dac gets angry, as does Pyro. Heck, even less confrontational posters are starting to call people out on dumb stuff we do. And sometimes we get angry at stuff we shouldn't even bother with.
I think the fandom is changing. Just like we on KYM have become/are becoming friends here, there are probably a lot of other sites where they are becoming friends with each other. We probably all appreciate that more than Pony, honestly. I do, at least.
Discussion? I feel like many of the discussion points we've had have been talked over at length. We've probably already saturated the points we could make on anything pony. We'd need something really interesting to talk about Pony liked we used to.
Images? I still feel like they are out there. Macros are still made, but some of the "just perfect" ones may end up being better than new ones. So you end up seeing older ones?
Art? I've seen this on a few tumblr blogs. It's bothersome, but understandable.
Some artists just get tired of drawing the same thing over and over.
They want to move on to drawing something else. And since the fandom isn't likely growing too much larger than it has now, there aren't a lot of new artists to take their place. I remember reading from one FiM animator saying how she doesn't want to draw ponies forever. She wanted to move on at some point and draw other things. Same with the voice actors, the writers, even the directors, and of course, Lauren Faust has already moved on.
I'll try to tl;dr that:
*The fandom is beginning to focus more on each other than the show. That's also occurring here. And for some, talking about ponies may be getting a little stale. We still love the show, the new episodes, and we love what it is. I'm not going to stop watching it anytime soon. But it's less novel, I think.

I have a question. Why does anonymous get the most attention on Tumblr? Their commands in Woonastuck and Tiara Lost get responses. Their questions get answered. Not to be selfish but I need the attention so my blog can get noticed and become more popular.
- There are more Anons than users, I guess. Simple statistics.
- Don't get upset or down about this, Ideo, but you seem to be focusing way too much on becoming popular or becoming noticed. If you're doing something as a hobby and not for a paycheck, then do it regardless of how good you are at it or how famous you become. Seriously, being popular and liked is nice. I won't lie. But I like being liked by the people I care about more.
Is our attention not enough for you, Ideological?
I thought you loved us…
