I'd like to make a huge backstory like that too, based on my idea that MLP is set 200,000 years in the future and that ponies are actually evolved horses who have become sentient and have adopted technology based on ancient artifacts from the extinct human race.

Edit: I would also like to add to the "MLP is the world of the future" theory. Mankind was forced underground due to their greed and hatred. The Windigos made the land too bitter for them and so they had to escape to a safe haven. Over years they survived, spreading through the underground. They grew massive amounts of hair and their voices changed to a beastly tone due to all the dust and dirt. Mankind slowly evolved and became the Diamond Dogs.

Yeah, you missed the SynchTube by about half an hour. It wasn't a large one. I think we had 5 posters at most, but it was pretty chill, Algernon got to sleep at a decent hour, and I only got kicked twice.

Also, I blame BSoD for showing my face on that thread (kinda.) Well, I actually wanted to show you guys for a while, but I wanted someone else to do it first. It's just a picture anyway, I guess.

Anyway, I'll let you in (BSoD) on something I thought about mid-Tube.

What if Baby Cakes actually occurred during the events of Lesson Zero?

• Earlier in the episode, The Cakes are trying to find a babysitter, but Twilight Sparkle couldn't help because she was busy with a project for the Princess.
• Twilight later shows up at Pinkie's door wanting to help Pinkie. Just like she had with the other 4 mane ponies.
• Note that Pinkie was not shown in that part of Lesson Zero, so we don't know what she was doing before the picnic.

Now, I thought that it would be cool if it had timed out that way, but I felt as if it was nighttime when the Cakes returned from their event. Citation said it was still daytime though.

Citation then said something about Pinkie giving a report made it an impossibility, because Pinkie didn't give the Princess letters until that night, at soonest.
 
But if the Baby Cakes episode ended at some point during the night day…

• Twilight goes to get cupcakes. (Lesson Zero)
  • This is before The Cakes leave for their event. (Baby Cakes)
• Twilight leaves Sugar Cube Corner (Lesson Zero)
• Cakes remember catering event at about the same time Twilight remembers her report (Lesson Zero and Baby Cakes.)
• Cakes leave to find Baby Sitter (Baby Cakes)
• Find Twilight to babysit (Baby Cakes) but she can't because she's doing something for the princess, perhaps something that occurred within her freakout with Spike in the library but not shown in the scene (Lesson Zero but not shown.)
• Twilight leaves to find her friends to help (Lesson Zero)
• Meanwhile Cakes are still trying to find Rainbow Dash and Rarity to babysit (Baby Cakes.)
• Cakes settle for Pinkie (Baby Cakes.)
• Twilight after seeing Fluttershy brutally murder massage that bear figures out a way to finish her report. (hypothetically off-screen in Lesson Zero.)
• Twilight isn't satisfied with it, so she goes to find Pinkie. But Pinkie won't let her help (Baby Cakes.)
• Twilight goes crazy on a bench for the rest of Baby Cakes' length (Lesson Zero.)

But there's the problem. I've already fudged some facts. I'd have to liberally interpret things from here.

You know when Pinkie submitted her letter to the princess? She never wrote it down on-screen in that episode. Therefore, she might have remembered that recent event and sent it to the princess the day after Lesson Zero/Baby Cakes as a report to "help" Twilight.

So if that is true (and Baby Cakes did end during the day:)

• Pound and Carrot Cake go to sleep, and the Cakes come back home (Baby Cakes.)
• Pinkie, even though she's tired, leaves the twins to the Cakes and goes to Twilight's picnic (Lesson Zero.)

There are no signs that this could be the case (e.g., Twilight didn't look frazzled from a day of failures. Her believing that she had fixed everything…and magic…might have fixed how bad she looked between seeing Fluttershy and going to Pinkie's to help her.) And there are probably some facts or dialogue that render all of that moot.

But it crossed my mind.

And even if that wasn't the case, would it be cool to see an episode coincide with the events of a simultaneously occurring episode?

If there is a Season 4, I really hope it happens.

No, wait. Rainbow Dash had tickets to see the Wonderbolts. Unless it was a really quick show and she was able to help AJ before the show and get to the picnic, it may not have happened.

That is very impressive. However, I do think it's a bit off. Pinkie giving the report and Twilight finishing her report before sundown really point to the two being on separate dates. But it's still really something to think about. Well done, Verbose!

Anyway your idea was interesting enough that I started considering how other episodes might have worked on the same timeline…but if I think too hard on the matter I risk blowing my own mind at this state. I think I'll avoid going into too much detail for now, but I would like to touch on that subject later

Overall I have to say that while the possibility is there, the two episodes do not quite add up unless you stretch the process of events in both episodes quite a bit. You also have to disregard Twilight's behavior.

But that mechanic would be great to see used for later episode.

Anyway I want to quickly bring up what I spotted in the image section recently:

This serves as yet another reminder that there is a growing trope involving Lyra. And that trope can include:

-Having human appendages, usually hands

-Being more anthropomorphic than other characters

-Showing a deep interest in humans including, physiology, sociology, biology etc.

Now how exactly did this all start? Where did this fandom induced aspect of her character come from. Can anyone here shed some light on that or perhaps find more evidence of Lyra showing these traits?

If it turns out to be significant enough, it may even be worth documenting in the re-imagining article

Heh, I get the feeling the writers decision to ship Big Mac and Cherilee was a strategic move. They purposely went for something that the Bronies would never expect. This also means that Big Mac is older than my headcanon previously suggested.
