Quick question. If you could have one of the ponies as a pet/friend but they had to be intersex( and just as hung a Futashy), would you do it?
Personally, I would. Its no different than my horse really, Its kinda gross when they are horny but its not that big a deal. I mean, I know people who’s job it is to masturbate horses, hell my dad and uncle have done it( its to inseminate the mares). It would be weird talking to pinkie while her massive dong is just lying on my couch though…

So basically would I keep futashy as a pet? (Or equivalent pony/dog hybrid based on any other character that also happens to be transgender with a fully functional and extremely impressive set of male genitalia…and uses it often)

Simple answer:

Its bad enough that I have to worry about cats spraying in the house. For those of you who don't own cats, take heed; Even when housetrained, cats like to mark their territory anywhere they please. This situation gets worse when you have multiple cats in the household which I do.

Now as hard as it is to clean up catspray, I am sure that Futashy jizz will be even more difficult and that's a cleaning job I am not up to the task for. I don't want my situation made any worse. I did read the post where Dac mentioned that said sexual arousal would actually be uncommon with Futashy. However from what I hear, that Futashy will hump just about anything.

The official Futashy tumblr outlines pretty much all the reasons why I would disagree. The Tumblr shows that when Futashy is not being adorable and lovable, (s)he does everything that would irritate ordinary pet owners

Other futa-characters may not behave the same as Futashy does in its own Tumblr. But still, I would not risk it. Also I would simply not be conformable with that giant dong touching my furniture.

Now if we eliminate the Futashy factor and simply go with the regular fully equine and fully female sentient Fluttershy then my answer would switch to:

Fluttershy would be great to have around the house. She has that constructive and helpful personality combined with being friendly company. I probably would not have to clean up after her too.

Plus she is 10 times the adorable that my cats are. Not to imply that Futashy could not have been adorable too, Flutters simply has that without the controversy.

As an added bonus, she would be great with handling the cats too. I could think of similar good reasons why any of the other regular characters would make wonderful pets (more like friends actually)

I'm guessing that is why Dac had to add the "giant dong" part to the question because without it, it would be harder to think of a reason not to have a [MLP based] Pony around*

*Short of the fact you have a freaking talking Pony in the house and that may frighten the relatives

I don't really know if that's something to be added. That's the voice given to Derpy, it's origin in such detail might be a little much. You can make it a suggestion and see if one of the other editors fixes it. Perhaps if Derpy gains a second role, her voice changes. We can continue from there.

As for the voice, even though being male on purpose, it's just perfect for Derpy i.m.o. It's really a type of voice that represents her Derp-like character.

With that said, as for the Futashy discussion. It's weird yes, but it doesn't really gross me out to such an extent that I stop reading. I'm able to look around stuff like that. Plus I have a male Rottweiler myself, so I'm used to large dogs.

But then again, my dog doesn't jizz and hump everything.

Most would make great friends. But there is one that stands above all others as to who I would prefer. Once again, I don't have to say it. You all know mine…..

I just have one request from you guys: Please don't post spoilers for the upcoming Rainbow Dash episode. I'm really looking forward to that one, and I've already heard more about it than I wanted to. I'm fairly sure there's leaked information out there that hasn't reached this thread yet, and I'd prefer to keep things that way.

Also, my opinion on having a Futashy-like pet:

I don't like the idea of keeping sapient* beings as pets in general, and I like the idea even less when they're intersex and keep jizzing everywhere. If I got back to my dorm after a long day of lectures and practicals only to get humped by a Fluttershy-dog with a penis, I imagine I would be pretty pissed off.

* 'Sapient' is the correct word to use when describing an intelligent, reasoning being. A 'sentient' being is simply one which is capable of perceiving or feeling (i.e. is conscious), and that includes pretty much every mammal there is - not just humans. Just felt like pointing that out since you all keep using the wrong word.

In that case, I'd be a little more accepting of the situation, but it still seems a little messed up to me. Would they be the only one of their kind on Earth? 'Cause if that were the case, I'd prefer it if they weren't here at all. Also, as I've never been friends with a member of another intelligent species (unless you count Mass Effect…), I can barely even imagine what it would be like to talk with a sapient non-human. If I were forced into the situation, I'd probably be cool with it, as long as he/she wore pants. Call me crazy for this, I prefer it when people keep their junk to themselves while I'm talking to them.

Well, I can think of a few that could be compatible roommates. Fluttershy, Dash, Twi, and Vinyl.

I'll start off with Fluttershy.
With her, I can see quite a few obvious reasons for why we'd be compatible and why not. We both like animals (well, I guess so. usually the only animals I'm around are cats), she would be a good roommate (if you can't tell why, then you seriously need to watch more episodes), she's nice, a little socially awkward (like myself), she wouldn't constantly troll/insult me like the rest of my actual friends, and other things I can't quite come up with.
But, as I implied, there's quite a few things that make us incompatible. I swear allot, I can loose my temper easily, I'm loud… you can see where I'm going with this.
So yeah, she's a good pony and all, but I myself wouldn't be a great choice for her roommate.

(I'll talk about the others in another post.)

As for the roommate thing, once again, to avoid rage from you guys about the content of my posts, you all know who I choose. For the incompatible part, any stuck up or hippocritical pony. I can't stand hippocrits and narcissists.

I would choose Twilight Sparkle, because just like me she can be a hermit, she is normally smart and if I have trouble doing my homework, she can help me with it. Plus she can also tutor me with some thing. She is mostly knowledgeable and would be a good friend, she does not socialize that much either. (Like me I got no social life what so ever in reality). She would be mostly quiet because it would be required though, and I would want that quietness too(Unless I have music on). Despite me being her Ginny pig for her spells (Like what Spike is). Twilight would be a excellent room mate for me.

I come back and there's a god-damn Futashy discussion.

As for the other discussion… I am honestly not sure who I'd pick. I'd probably end up picking Twilight because chances are she's the closest one to me (Rarity is kind of a polar opposite, AJ/Rainbow/Pinkie are all too energetic). Maybe Fluttershy. Idunno.

I can actually see quite a few things that would make us (at least fairly) compatible roommates. There's the whole organization thing, which I can both relate to and would be very useful. She's also very smart (no shit), meaning she would be helpful with studying, understanding new concepts, ect. (not that I'm doubting my own intelligence (okay, maybe a little…)) She's not very social, which, again, is like me (even with my own friends). And plus, she's one, if not the, most skilled with magic out of all the unicorns, which is also awesome.
But, what with her use of difficult concepts, need to follow everything by the book, obsessiveness over minor details (though I can relate), and other things, she could be a little annoying. And I've had a lot of problems with annoying things…
Regardless, I think she would be a great roommate.

Hmmmm. Well Rarity is my favourite but I think she'd hate me. She'd be all like "What is that on your head?" and I'd be all "My hair." and then she'd be all "What is wrong with it?" and I'd be all "I couldn't be arsed to shower." and then she'd make me a pretty princess and I'd leave.

I think I'd go with Twilight cause she seems the most like me and also she could help me with homework and stuff. Except Biology because it'd be different in equestria. Also, Physics would probably be different because of the magic. Also she wouldn't know any human History. Darn it! Oh well. She's pretty nerdy so I think we'd get along.

Now, this one will be interesting…
She may be brash, impatient, at times rude, and have a huge ego, but all of these I can either relate to, or can deal with. Most of her negative traits are the same as the ones my current friends (and a douche who's friends with some of them, and acts like a dick to me) have. And all of these i have grown used to (even though they can still kinda irritate me). Now, onto the positive traits.
Dash… is just awesome. There's not really much else to say. And plus, she could probably be able to help me with my not-so-great physical shape. Hell, she is actually allot like my best (and pretty much only) friend. In fact, so much, it's a kinda scary.
So yeah, she would be a good roommate, just probably not quite as good as Twi'.

And Vinyl? I just really like music.

(oh, and before I forget, anyone know where I can get some pony sprites? I need them for an idea I had.)

i can't really decide who would be my roommate i can't think of alot of compatible things since i'm normaly playings or on the computer most of the day and i would not socialize alot so i can't really think of anything that i have in common with any of them what i can think of right now for fluttershy is:

@Lolstaz You sound like a messy person. As for the other ponies, here they are:
A.J.: Possibly. We'd get along at times, but she'd complain about the fire burning her apples. And the fact I hate country.
Rarity: I'm a relativly clean person. I pick up after myself, I bathe regularly, but my sense of fashion and love of the rougher things would probably get on her nerves. And according to her, I would be a little "uncouth". We'd probably be friends, but not roommates.
Twi: I'm a nerd, so we'd probably have philsohical discussions. I'd understand what she's talking about. But, I tend to forget things like timeframe, so that would get in the way of her timelyness.
Fluttershy: I like animals. I'd have no problem with her furry woodland critters. I'd probably scare the crap outta her sometimes, though. So she'd make a good friend, but not a roommate.
Dash: Once again, I can't stand some braggarts or over-achievers. So as long as she didn't get too full of herself, we'd get along fine. I don't think I could stand her for long periods of time, so I'd probably storm out and go for a walk.
Pinkie: I like parties. I really do. But with the amount of parties she throws, I'd never get any time for myself. I'm not a very social person. I hardly spend time with people other than my friends. Even then, our interaction is limited. So once again, friends, not roommates.
So that's what I got. Now, if you guys promise not to get mad, I'll explain my top choice.

@X I like JJ. I like his art, especialy the humanizations. The only thing I don't like is the fact that he refuses human Luna requests. He does my favorite Luna humanization. He only does it every so often, and I don't want to wait 5 months for the next one. Other than that, he's a good artist.

I just brought it up because you gave your 2 cents on the topic, but Im done with it really. The whole thing about the Pony being a hermaphrodite was to make the it hard. Anyways, I would go with Pinkie Pie just because her personality is pretty compatible to mine really. Im a goofy and energetic person really. My second pick would be applejack because she could be a big help on the ranch and I like her country personality. Rarity would be really cool too. She could be my shopping buddy. Hmmm, I can't really decide.

Before I answer, I'll say that this was not quite the R34 discussion. The stray dong made it more awkward, true. It would potentially alienate people, yes. But given that the conversation was just among opspe, dac, and I, I really didn't see too much wrong with it at the time.

But we're moving on and rightfully so. Other people are here.
 
 
As for me, if you're talking a pony that was a roommate, I'd think that Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Applejack would be the best roommates.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not very clean. Of course, Rarity and Twilight are neat and OCD.

I clean up things better when I'm with roommates, but I prefer to make cleaning a priority only when I see fit and not because it annoys my roommate. It would be a constant point of contention among us, because I don't think that even my cleanest would be their "clean."

You know how Pinkie deals with locks? She doesn't. Least likely when walking in for comedic effect. Any implied potential awkward walk-ins involving "me time" should be assumed.

It would be a running gag. The studio audience would love it.
 
 
Now Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash probably would leave me alone most of the time. And when I want my alone and quiet, I want my dang alone and quiet. There might be the problem of loud music coming from Dash's room, but I think I'd be able to convince her to wear headphones. I think.
 
AJ would be ideal. For starters, she's a busy mare who seems to be that person everyone likes and wants to be around. So she's probably be out working and helping people most of the time. Simply, she would just need a place to sleep. We split the rent, and I get the apartment.

And since she is the get alongingest pony you're ever going to meet, even being with her in the apartment would be pretty chill. We could sit and watch football with some laid back country playing in the background.

I don't think loud music would be a problem with Fluttershy, and she probably wouldn't want to speak. Fine by me. She'd probably also be a pushover as long as I didn't mess with her bunny, so I could get her to do all of the chores. #douchealwayswins

Actually, I don't really like John Joseco's style, but I recognize his talent. I love Megasweet's style and talent, but the content is hit or miss. I pretty much love everything from thelivingmachine.

I thought long and hard (pun intended) about favoriting that image. I chose to. I'm more open to humanized sexy stuff, but I'm still not necessarily comfortable with it.

As for maid outfits, I find maid outfits sexy, but the cultural (and potentially sexist) connotations behind it may play a part in it.

If you're asking if it's suggestive, then I think it's borderline. However, I'm not great at gauging what should be in a gallery on KYM or not. The little I do is article fact checking and editing. I could make cases for either side for the image.

@X Because it's not maids in general. It's the French style of maid uniforms. For some reason, they feel the need to display their women that way. It's a lot more…….revealing. Most people(Not me. Unless certain circumstances are met.) like revealing. Ergo, people associate that style of outfit with sexy ladies. As for the fav roommate thing, no one said that I couldn't say it, so they must be okay with it. It's Luna. What a suprise. We have many things in common. The same feelings. Simmilar situations. Most of them are things not for here. So PM or post on my wall if you want specifics. Sharing feelings with others like you can rid yourself of pain. We'd make great roommates. She'd probably get loud at times, but I'd forgive her and we'd move on. We'd fight, but that's natural. We'd help each other. That's what roommates do.

I generally don't mind it. The difference here is that it's My Little Pony.
