Why are you so mean.

About Fluttershy episode:
I personally think that Iron Will is gonna take Flutters into some dark part of the Everfree and rape he is gonna show her how to stand up to fear, but he gets scared and Flutters has to save him, or stand up for him, or tame a scary monster.
But it's nice we'll get two episodes of her, it will be some nice character building.
I'm going to bed now….god Celestia all sorts of weird things are happening today…also a lot of win too…
Scootaloo looks cute in this picture for some reason. :3
I don't think the upcoming episode will affect Fluttershy in any noticeable way. Like Random said, the show has to be watched, enjoyed, and understood individually aside from the two-parters. If someone saw Fluttershy in the first episode and then saw her with much more confidence, than I think that would confuse viewers unless they saw this episode.
Small nods of continuity like Rainbow Dash reading and Pinkie Sense don't really have to be explained, but Fluttershy changing her diminutive nature permanently, even somewhat minimally, would be unsettling, especially for those who love that about her.
Also, please chill on the vomiting. Personally, it makes me a little queasy to see it, but I think it's not really something most people would laugh at or want to see. Same with the borderline R34. I'm not going to edit it out or anything if it's just occasional naughty faces or suggestive images, but please don't make a habit of it.

It would also be an excuse to have one of the mane six be dressed in a nurse outfit.
And nurse outfits make everything better.

I suppose it would be a bit much if she completely changed, but I see nothing wrong with her gaining a little assertiveness( just enough to respectfully say no). just a couple nods here and there to what she learned.

Hmm, thats not a good reason to not change the characters at all. If someone missed the episode, well, too bad. I'm not saying I want any of the characters to change drastically, but If an important lesson is learned ( like learning not to let people push you around so much) it would be nice if it helped the character in the future.

That comes from DHX itself. Hasbro doesn't want their target demographic to be confused when watching a show. I'd prefer more continuity that that. I've said that I really want an episode that overlaps while another episode is going on (e.g., What happened with Pinkie and Rarity coming back from Dodge? Where was Rarity during that whole Luna thing in Luna Eclipsed?)
I'd love to see a little bit of dynamic changes in the characters as long as their personalities are in tact, but Hasbro knows what they're doing in making a show primarily for the young girls.

I know Hasbro's reason, but I still find it to be lousy one. Give the kids some credit, they aren't that stupid. I doubt they would be like " Hey, what gives! Fluttershy never shows any confidence whatsoever. My jimmies are so rustled, you don't even know!"
I don't really care though. Whatever they do is fine with me.

I agree
Well not a complete change.but i would say a little evolution.
personally,a character need to evolve someday,I like Fluttershy but I would like to see her with more personality and more confidence in herself. No one can stay at the same level all his life,,so we need to progress. So i guess ponies will be no exception.
a couple of week ago we saw rainbow dash improving herself (she began to like reading. Before this episode she wasn't able because she think it was boring and useless). So,why not making Fluttershy more confident and more courageous ?.

I'm thinking that Flutters being different in following episodes will depend on the lesson of the new episode. Like if it's about accepting yourself the way you are she'll probably stay the same, but if the lesson is actually about the importance of being assertive sometimes, she just might be a little different. but who knows.

PREDICTION!
In the finale episode, the wedding of Princess Cadence, Rainbow Dash and Applejack will not be at the wedding cause they think it's too "frou-frou" and "girly" for their tastes but eventually learn a lesson to support their friends and family and show up at the end.

Granted they didn't like it, but they did. Not to mention one of them is the element of loyalty, so it's doubtful she'd not support her friends, and the other one's Applejack… that's reason enough on it's own.

Dac wrote:
Discussion time! If you got transported to Equestria with all your prior knowledge of being human. How would you cope? More importantly, would you get down with some pony puntang or just never have any sexual relations?
Currently, at my keyboard, I would say that I would be all "F*CK YEAH!" and all that.
But in all actuality, the first thing that would probably come to my mind is whether or not this is a dream. But then with my advanced knowledge of psychology (I got a 5/5 on my AP), I would then remember that if this was a dream, I would just play along with the setting and be unable to go through the thought process I just went through (because if it was a dream and I did have that thought process, the dream would either end or I would go into a lucid state). The next thing I would probably do is continue to confirm my prescence in Equestria. This could range from walking around trying to find various landmarks in the show (canterlot, Twilight's tree, the apple orchard, etc. depending on the location I am wisked to) to talking to some other various ponies, etc. Once I had confirmed that I was indeed in Equestria, I would probably go into some state of shock because of the sheer amount of change. Ultimately this shock would not go unnoticed, since everything seems to go noticed in the world of MLP. I would then, I think, eventually recover and start to blend into equestrian society, though I don't know how long that would take. The thought would probably come to my mind as to what happened to my Earth friends, did they stop existing? Was I wiped from their memory or did I cease to exist in that universe (ours) entirely? These thoughts would probably exist in my mind until the end of my pony life (I am assuming I would never return to my home dimension, though I am unsure if I would ever want to).
As to what I would do once I integrated into Equestrian society, I'm unsure if I would either live in Ponyville, a small village where everyone knows each other, or Canterlot (I've been to NYC about 20 times, so I have thought about the possibility of living in a city a good bit). I am also assuming that my appearance, personality, cutie mark, etc. would fit my own personality or projection of myself. As such, I would probably get a job in engineering or something that involves a lot of machinery, since I seem to be interested in that sort of thing a good bit (I could get into another discussion about what I would think/ want to be as a pony, but I'll save that for another day).
As with sexual relations, the memory of me being human is still intact, so that honestly depends on whether or not it's possible to return to my home dimension. If it is, I probably wouldn't knowing that I would be f***ing a horse. If it isn't possible, I think I would eventually come to accept the idea of doing it with another pony (inb4 everyone says "Ew, you're a zoophiliac"). Knowing me though, my sexual life there would be the same as here. In other words, Righty is my one true lover.
Since, however, that post was too long for anyone to ever want to read, here is my reaction to that .gif instead:
I've seen it so many times, but every time I do, I swear I lose a piece of my sanity.
Everyone's opinion of me has just been lowered after making that post.

I would, nuff said.
First though, I would need to adjust living in pony society. I would introduce them to alcohol so as to make it easier to cope ( also, lower their inhibitions therefore more sexy times). Seriously though, I would have a hard time getting used to the fact that everyone and everything I ever loved is gone. That would be tough really. Eventually though, I would be fine with it and bang.

Good heavens, man! Dac, you are officially king of akward conversation starting. Anyway, assuming I could confirm it wasn't a dream/hallucination/extreme dimentia I would cope by running in circles screaming with joy because Equestria is awesome and there's a 2/3 chance I'll get superpowers (that is, once the initial shock+panic wore off). Granted I'd be all depressed about leaving this dimention behind, and the memories would haunt me forever, but eh, gotta make the best out of a situation. In terms of making a living, find the nearest town and do odd jobs until I could figure out what my talent was, since Earth talents wouldn't transfer very well in many cases, and there may be something that's an Equestria exclusive that I'm great at (or if I come with a cutie mark, just use that as a guide). And the second part… uhm… ehhh…
Akward as it may be, eventually I would get used to being an equine, and then it'd pretty much be natural that…

This is a hard one. It certainly has happened in a kid's show before. Take, for example, Spongebob Squarepants, as many people say that Patrick's lovable stupidity has grown into borderline retardation (I wouldn't know myself, since I haven't seen an episode for over a year). I really can't say for sure, but I think that if they do, it certainly would take a while. Faust created a very strong foundation for her characters personalities, so I think it would take a while for any flanderization to take effect. Once again, I can't really say for sure, that's a difficult question.

You misunderstand, the Princess' visit wasn't really that formal or frou frou, and they both wanted to go the Gala for their own reasons (Wonderbolt's and selling apple products respectively)
And considering how the Gala ended….you'd think they'd be wary of going to a big social event in Canterlot again.

Let me instruct you in the ways of the Internet.
Lesson #1: Every character of every show ever is doing it. Right now. As we Speak.
This concludes your lessons.
Do you think the writers will flanderize the characters too badly as time goes on, or will they have the sense to stop, say “whu-oh, what the hell were we doing” and reverse the process?
Nice question, nuke. I don't think that will be a major problem. It seems like it may have been happening to Dash, but her appearance in more recent episodes just makes her out to be blunt and tactless at times without being a complete jerk. Also, it's very early for that to be seen. We're a little more than a season and a half through FiM, and the trope namer probably didn't show up until 6 or 7 seasons in (wouldn't know. Don't watch The Simpsons at all.)
@dac
Discussion time! If you got transported to Equestria with all your prior knowledge of being human. How would you cope? More importantly, would you get down with some pony puntang or just never have any sexual relations?
When I'm not, like, wat at your topics, I'm, like, whoa. In a good way.
Muffinator of varying qualities, you speak good sense.
Grammar aside, most of what I say will follow what nuke and Muffinator said. I wouldn't believe it considering I still had memories of my current perception of reality. But once I realized that I couldn't wake up, I'd humor my perception of my new life. I'd play it out, enjoy it, and live it until I came to. Once I really knew I had been transported to Equestria, I'd just live like any other animal.
We've had a similar discussion before: I'd find the Apple Family (specifically AJ) and ask them if I could work there to support myself. They may be a bit traditional in that they want to keep the work in the family, but if Big Mac hasn't "Nnnoped" me (as in Lesson Zero) into the Everfree Forest because I look like an alien, then I'd think they'd help me find work and board somewhere. AJ's friendly and helpful. If I was still a human, then sex would be out of the question.
If I was turned into a pony, then I may be a zebra, so that'd still be weird to see. I'd have to come to believe that my life as a human was the hallucination and that the reality was Equestria. If could remember all of the friends and family I left behind, then there's no way I'd be able to have sex with an animal. I'm a human. I like teh boobies a little too much.
But I could certainly see myself really liking personalities. Unless you attach sexual attraction solely to the human form (i.e., personalities aren't attractive or sexy to you and you're only attracted to the body sexually,) then I might come to like some ponies a lot more than others.
I think you may be implicitly be asking that: they all have human personalities. Are you attracted to the personalities of humans sexually? If they have the same personalities, then why wouldn't you be attracted to them?
The only answer would be that you're not sexually attracted to human personalities. You only like the human body sexually but not human personalities attached to it.
Right?
Y'all broneis posting in a troll topic…
@Phoenix
Ah, but you didn't disprove that they're two of the most loyal characters in the show and wouldn't abandon their friends. Also the princess' visit was moderately "frou- fr.. I'm sorry but that's beggining to sound ridiculous, formal, why else would Rarity be in a (fancier than usual) dress and AJ be stressing over etiquette. Also isn't the whole point of the entire show that the characters learn lessons from day to day experiences? The massive screwup at the gala would only give them the knowledge on how not to screw up again.

Dac Attack wrote:
Discussion time! If you got transported to Equestria with all your prior knowledge of being human. How would you cope? More importantly, would you get down with some pony puntang or just never have any sexual relations?
Okay, might as well answer this. IN SIMPLE STEP BY STEP FORM!
STEP #1: LEARN HOW TO WALK
If I keep all my human memories, that would mean I have no pony memories and ergo, are like a newborn baby in terms of pony motor skills. Being 24 years old though, I would think it wouldn't take more than a few hours though.
It will also depend on how long it would take me to get over the fact that Quadrpeds have weird hind legs ie "OH GOD MY KNEE IS BACKWARD OH MY GOD MAKE IT STOP!"
STEP #2: GET OUT OF THE EVERFREE FOREST
Come on, you're gonna end up in the Everfree Forest. That's just how the rules go. I would pick a cardinal direction and just move there till I'm outside the forest because I'm not at the top of the food chain anymore. Of course, my plan would change if two things happen:
2a: I find some high ground
This would let me see Canterlot, which is quite easy since it's on top of a mountain and all. I then move towards it since that's the general direction of Ponyville.
2b: I find a river
Follow the river, settlements are always built on rivers. Pretty basic survival stuff. I might even find Steven Magnet and he could help me out.
STEP #3: GET TO THE PONYVILLE LIBRARY
I need to find out if humans exist or not in the pony lexicon. Of course, if I have just my human memories, then I'm probably illiterate since I don't know what the fuck it says here:
That would mean trying to ask Twilight about anything she knows regarding humans. If she does, great. If not, I gotta go.
STEP #4: GET THE FUCK OUTTA PONYVILLE
Before this happens:
Yeah, I need to get out before she finds me.
STEP #5: GET AN AUDIENCE WITH PRINCESS CELESTIA AND/OR LUNA
They seem nice, so this shouldn't be too hard. I would ask if they knew anything about Humans and would explain to them my situation. If they do know about humans, great. If they don't, I will ask them if they know anything about dimensional travel and the fact I need to get back to my own world. Now we can go several different ways from here:
They do know about Humans and can send me back: Great, because I get out of this nightmare and get on with my life.
They don't know about humans but can send me back: Excellent once again.
They don't know about anything I'm talking about but believe me and do not have the ability to send me back: Go to next step.
They think I'm crazy: I'm gonna end up like Maximillian Rovias.
FINAL STEP: BECOME A WANDERING WARRIOR
First I gotta find a hermit on top of a mountain who will teach me the ways of pony combat (since only a few days earlier I can barely walk). I would then wander the land for any scrap of knowledge that might help me get home. Clad in a black cloak and black hat, dragging a human sized coffin behind me always. If anyone ever asks what's in the coffin I would say "My soul"
(Note: If I ever find a powerful weapon, I will store it in the coffin to be whipped out at climactic moments of battle)
And this would be the theme song of my travels
Discussion time! If you got transported to Equestria with all your prior knowledge of being human. How would you cope?
Troll topic this may be, it's an interesting one none-the-less. The first thing that comes to mind is getting over the initial shock, not just of the shift in universe but also the shift in body.
No one has mentioned the fact that with all these human memories [edit: Phoneix ninja'd me], it's likely you will still try to operate your own body like one at first. Being quadrapedal alone will be tough to manage. In fact, it's likely I will be sent into utter and complete shock in response to the (literally) universal amount of change to everything I once knew.
I imagine the first several hours of the experience will not consist of joyful prancing in the tall grass but endless fits and squirming around in the dirt in complete hysteria.
I might actually make quite a bit of scuffle and noise on purpose so someone finds me. I'm going to need some help with this.
In fact, the best way to handle all this sudden change may actually be to get arrested for dementia and locked away in the Ponyville mental institution for my own safety. Several months in a padded cell with some of Ponyvilles best psychologists sounds like a good way to get over the absolute shock and horror of being flung into an alien world in an alien body and learn how to live in it without getting myself killed. It also keeps me away from Pinkie Pie.
I mean really? Do you think it will be that easy to adjust? You are in a completely different universe where absolutely everything you remember is completely gone. That's going to be incredibly hard to get your brain around. You will probably go insane anyway so you might as well turn yourself into the white coats
But anyway, I have faith that the Psychologist ponies will likely try their best to get my brain adjusted to the new world. Once that is done and I have a certificate of sanity from the hospital, then we can go learning how to fly/use magic/prace in grass and commence the plans that Verbose, Phoneix and Muffinator already laid out.
More importantly, would you get down with some pony puntang or just never have any sexual relations?
Well this one is easy for you Dac, you are already fully educated in this department. But I don't think I would have any idea what I am doing here.
Unless some sort of instinct kicks in I doubt I would want to try and figure it out either and this is mainly thanks to those human memories being intact. My human upbringing has left me with every reason not to shag a non-human creature….its just too uncanny…even if I am not one myself. It's more likely I will end up being asexual.
@Muffinator
My opinion of you has not gotten worse at all. I just wanted to point out something here:
Knowing me though, my sexual life there would be the same as here. In other words, Righty is my one true lover.

Ah, getting whisked away to Equestria, now wouldn't that be grand?
For the sake of simplicity, I'm going to go ahead and assume I end up being my OC and wake up in close proximity to a settlement.
It'd certainly be quite a shock initially. I'd probably stumble about for a good while before I get used to my new quadruped body. Undoubtedly my first thoughts would be "What the fuck is this, and how'd it happen?" and "New primary directive: seek information about current plane of existence". After figuring out I'm in Equestria and the freakout that causes, I'd earn some bits, purchase some gear, train myself up and go all "HA HA, TIME FOR ADVENTURE!" and then just wing it from there.
I've always wanted to do that, but y'know, modern day planet Earth ain't exactly conducive to that kind of behaviour. Equestria, on the other hoof, is full of monsters, ancient ruins and all that other generic RPG goodness. Besides, there'd be a good chance of stumbling upon a means of returning back home along the way. Not that I'd necessarily want to, given how I'm not leaving much behind (uncertain future, not too many friends, family can stand on their own).
I don't think it'd be enough of a shock for me to go all loony, as BSoD asserts. Sure, I'd probably be in hysterics for a while, but I'd get my shit together (eventually) and tough it out by getting caught up in work/adventure. But then, this sort of thing has been a fantasy of mine since childhood and I'm genre-savvy enough to know I'll likely face the "return home or stay here" choice at some point anyhow, so yeah. Besides, this is all wild guessing anyhow, may as well make the most positive assumptions.
As for the sexytimes, I don't see why not. Even if I don't end up as pony, I still don't see the problem if the other end of the bargain is willing (yes, I'm a R34fag, sue me). Besides, the only thing really wrong with bestiality is the fact that animals can't give consent, due to a lack of sapience and communication ability. Since the show's ponies are lacking neither, disapproving of sexing them up is just your prejudice showing. Also, what Verbose said.
As for the flanderization question: what folks have been saying, pretty much. It won't kick in seriously until later (if it does at all) and I've got faith in the abilities of the writers. Nothing to worry about if you ask me.
Hmmm… If I suddenly appeared in Equestria… Really, all I have to say has already been said at this point. Be extremely overjoyed, and very confused at finding I had four legs and/or wings or an innate ability to harness magic. After getting used to all my new body functions, I would probably haul my plot over to Canterlot. There's a greater chance I will find work based on my talent/cutie mark there. I would definitely seek out the princesses and ask if they had any knowledge of humans or other worlds, but I would have no intention of returning.
About the sexytime, It has been my knowledge so far that general morality plays a large part of Equestrian pony lives. Thus, I would most likely wait until I found that special somepony, and got married. By that time, I would be used to my new physiognomy, so having sex would not seem strange at all.

I don't think its about prejudice. At least for me it wasn't. Just seems so weird and uncanny for my human brain, I couldn't imagine myself doing it even though it technically wouldn't be a problem as long as its pony on pony.
That's it from me for today. I'm going to finish with some kickass artwork
Interesting scene. Derpy carves a puppet of herself which Luna animates?
It's been over a year since Trixie last appeared on screen has it? But we've been steadily making her more awesome ever since.
RD braces herself for something that is coming
Spitfire shouldn't have used flammable mascara.
Usually it's Luna that gets depicted this way. Celestia gets a turn for one.
Quick question: I notice lots of you are splitting up the quotes to adress certain parts. How exactly are you accomplishing this? Because I would like to quote BSoD, but just his Celestia portrait, and say that it is about time someone drew her not as Trollesia or Molestia.
