At least I'll feel reassured the response to the latter would have been faster now that Trump is no longer the commander in chief to sabotage anything.
Leftists complaining about infighting while the right just sits there being stunningly incompetent. Finally, a return to political normalcy
>JD Vance
fuck it, that lasted all of 2 and half hours
eh, come back tomorrow if you want more infighting
Probably due to the Israel/Palestine situation?

I find it funny how some morons think Trump being a Zionist was lie made by Shareblue, some liberal Zionist group, despite Trump openly saying he is a Zionist. And Shareblue being responsible for this is funny because they are liberals. Liberals aren't masterminds.
I have seen this in a Pepe website that came up with Trumpflare and plans on creating /qa2/.
I checked those stuff on 4plebs and it was from 2017. Quite outdated if you ask me.
since I cannot currently browse /pol/ on 4plebs, i recommend writing trumpflare and qa2 and you will see screenshots of idea of Trump being a Zionist coming from Discord.
Just wanted to write because it's funny. And I could smell so much irony. And these guys from that Pepe website idolize Elon Musk as it seems. Same guy who works with China.
that's enough politics for me today.
so when's the last time we've seen proof of life about the Israeli hostages anyway? All the stalling may be waiting for Iran, but I can't shake the feeling there's a different reason Hamas doesn't want to have to give them back,

April 27th with a propaganda video that Hamas put out. Since then this Amnesty International article from last month suggests that according to the Hostages and Missing Families Forum in Israel signs of life had been received from 33 hostages as of 18 May. The stalling by Hamas, in my opinion, is due to a few factors. The major one is I don't think the Hamas leadership, or what's left of it, knows where all the hostages are. It's presumed that Sinwar is surrounded by a few hostages wherever he goes so if the IDF takes him out they risk taking out their own. But I suspect that the lines of communication between different disparate groups of Hamas fighters and low level commanders is so utterly broken right now that they really cannot communicate effectively.
They cannot use phones to communicate as Israel is closely listening. Their only means of communication involve primarily using people who directly deliver messages between the disparate positions. And that in of itself is becoming increasingly difficult because the tunnel networks are being systemically destroyed, meaning the layout of their own labyrinth is constantly changing.
The second major reason why I think Hamas wants to delay hostages, right now, is because I would venture to bet that some of the female Hostages are at this point in late stage pregnancy, and that any televised exchange (which there would be) it would become clear that they were raped. I suspect Hamas would want to wait until those hostages then deliver the babies, which they will inevitably keep. It's much easier to deny that any rape occurred if the hostage is returned post pregnancy, and they know that even if the hostage tells their story, a large segment of Hamas supporters at home and abroad wouldn't believe her anyway (as has been the case among many on the pro-Palestine progressive left).
Third Hamas is waiting to see what Iran would do and what the reaction to that would be. After all, one can make a huge case that the very reason that Hamas attacked was because Iran urged them to as a means to disrupt normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel. The goal there was to make the Israeli response so biblical it would cause the rest of the Arab world – and Muslim world – unite against it. That hasn't entirely manifested, but they are still probably holding on to the idea that Iran may do something that would change the current calculus of all parties involved.
By extension Hamas is playing a waiting game with the fact that the US is in a contentious election. They want to see who's going to come out on top – and what their policy would be. Clearly a Harris victory would be significantly more beneficial to them than a Trump one. Even though Harris is pro-Israel, she would continue the current Biden doctrine and would put pressure on Netanyahu's government for a ceasefire that would have more favorable terms for Hamas than a Trump victory.
Hamas and Netanyahu know what I don't think the rest of the involved parties know. We keep using the word "ceasefire" but a "ceasefire" requires both sides to continue existing after. Netanyahu and Hamas know that what is being offered in reality isn't a ceasefire but terms of surrender. For Hamas, this is now an existential fight. If Sinwar is captured or killed it would be extremely difficult for the organization to continue as it is. Even if they find a replacement such a replacement wouldn't have the network, the prestige, or the kind of skills necessary to operate such an organization. It would also potentially trigger a lot of in-fighting as well. There are a lot of naysayers about whether or not Hamas can be killed. I worry about living in a world where anything like Hamas cannot be killed. And if Hamas is effectively killed you bet a lot of countries are going to carbon copy the Israeli playbook in eliminating their own jihadist groups.
I'm reminded of the wonderful fucking world that was created in the region where the only Arab-Israeli cooperation for decades was installing Hamas as a counterbalance to the PA. Real, real wonderful job.
Still betting just a whole bunch of the hostages are dead

I do not want to sound like a dork, but is it true Trump went to Epstein's Island because I have seen one chick claiming Trump wasn't there.
If he did, feels more like he went there for funl Like Hawking, McGroening, Clintons and Gates than for minors . Only time will tell. I would like to see proof Trump was there. Just asking.

Trump is accused of raping a 13 year old, and had multiple flights on epstein's jet
idk if he went to the island but he spent a lot of time with epstein and his wife
can somebody edit this photo so that Jeffery Epstein is the face of the plane like he is a Jay Jay the Jet Plane character?
I tried but between FAA shifts when there were no air traffic controllers it crashed into a mountain

Be for raising taxes on the 1% back to what they were in the 50s
Be for universal healthcare
Be for ranked choice or at least two round voting
I wont lie, I find most political heads on youtube scary.
Both sides, they share my schizo insanity and it I find it unnerving. I am glad nobody on the internet knows where I live tbh.
Well, it's a good thing she chose Tim Walz as her VP who seems to counterbalance her well.
In somewhat related news regarding Israel/Gaza, prominent critic of Israel's handling of the Gaza war, U. S. House Representative Ilhan Omar from Minnesota has won the Democratic primary for MN-05 U. S. House seat. This marks a halt of a trend of progressive U. S. House members (AKA The Squad) losing in the 2024 primaries from well-funded challengers.
So far, members of The Squad that have won their primaries this year along with Omar include AOC from New York and Summer Lee from Pennsylvania. Rashida Tlaib from Michigan was unchallenged in her primary.
Members of The Squad who lost their primaries this year include Jamaal Bowman from New York and Cori Bush from Missouri.

This is a trap to get downvoted but I'll throw this out there anyway.
She's kind of a cringe pseudo intellectual. Has a lot of nonsensical word salads to make herself come off as profound. She frequently uses phrases that someone who just smoked their first bowl of weed would say when discussing life. She can improve on that by not trying to come off as an Obama-esque person, and just communicate like a normal person.
There is also times where she comes off as an "Emily", like when she's clapping and grinning widely at a long to a song in Spanish that was actually making fun of her.
She's got very low verbal IQ. And that's okay, but as a President you have to communicate and convince the voter base to support your actions and decisions. Obama had high-as-fuck verbal IQ, and he has strong stage presence. She does not.
The reality is here is that her greatest strength is that she's not Trump and she's not geriatric.

Thanks, bro.
Seriously. She will win because she is younger than Trump and Trump's presidency won't be a nothing burger after all because he won't run America and it will be his workers after all because he is a dumbass old man. I do not believe anything he writes anymore.
So far, I like Tim Waltz and am more enthused by him than Kamala Harris (that could be a criticism of Kamala as Fatman asked). I like his stance on environment, social policies (the picture of him signing a bill to feed children in comparison to the one in Arkansas where the GOP rolled back child labour laws is compelling), separation of church and state, experience as a teacher (I don't care what others says, teaching is an honourable job) and his support of Ukraine.
It makes a compelling contrast with Vance with his stated views on abortion & general views on women and relationships, foreign policy in general (China, Ukraine, Russia, Hungary) and his ties with Project 2025 and people like Peter Thiel and Curtis Yarvin and that whole Silicon Valley Techno-authoritarians scene.
Tim Walz calls Viktor Orbán a dictator. For JD Vance, he’s a role model
It'd be something if the election was decided on the basis of the vice-presidents.

Eh, I wouldn't say you're getting downvoted right now. Those are real issues. We can compare after a few days who had the hottest take.
I'd still say that the GOP would have been in a better spot if they were able to get someone else than Trump (not DeSantis, but someone sane). Question is, can the GOP actually run anyone else than Trump anymore? There used to be the same question with the Democrats and the Biden.
>She's got very low verbal IQ
That reminds me of this quote when she was asked in an interview to explain to "break [the Russo-Ukrainian war] down in layman's terms".
Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So basically that’s wrong
She appears to have very limited knowledge in geopolitics, which could be very dangerous in terms of foreign policy. She'll probably continue with Biden's existing policies, for better or for worse, but I hope she has what it takes to handle something like a potential escalating crisis in the Middle East or the continuously deteriorating situation in Ukraine getting much worse after the election.

If MAGAguys at least showed this, I would agree with them.
Harris is gonna need more help with this like Trump has, but with someone more self-aware, smarter and wiser enough to make Harris's presidency worth it.
She will win this Presidency anyways and she needs to prove the world she was worth replacing Biden and defeating Trump.
Wish her best even if I ain't fund of DNC sometimes.
Not saying GOP is anything better.

She will win because the Democrats abandoned the doom and gloom rhetoric over a potential Trump presidency which was transparently nonsensical to most people and adopted to calling them "weird". It's an effective word largely because the chaos over Biden's dropping out has brain rotted the online GOP which has so much taken over the party. JD Vance for example is a pinnacle of this, and I would bet $100 that Trump picking JD Vance is what's going to tank him, just like in 2008 when McCain chose Palin.
I'm honestly shocked that the Trump campaign couldn't have fathomed the possibility that Biden wouldn't run. Especially after he was so thoroughly exposed during the debates. But never underestimate Trump to undermine himself, his efforts, and his accomplishments. And yes. He has accomplishments but he can't own them, hilariously. Operation Warp Speed, was an amazing feat that Trump should absolutely own, but his base is so anti vaxx that one of his greatest accomplishments he can't even capitalize on.
The GOP was doing great when they'd sit back and let all the insane far left activists tarnish and destroy the left. But the moment they start their activism it just comes off as so off putting.

Yes. If Trump loses again, and this time with significant enough margins and no apparent shenanigans, he will be viewed by his party as a losing horse. Walz was a good choice in that he comes off closer to the average working class person that the Democrats have spent a decade and a half pushing away. Shapiro would have been potentially a better option, however.
Trump can still win it, but he needs to realign and he's not good at that. He needs to listen to his campaign staff and not self sabotage. Because holy shit Trump's biggest weakness is sometimes he's a victim of his own success.
Take the absolute devastation he wrought on Biden during the debates. And hammered hard how Biden's mental capacity isn't even there…but could never have predicted that he would drop the race entirely. Now Trump is in shambles over it.
Or take the assassination attempt that he absolutely took full advantage of, that it would almost guarantee his election, and the GOPs reaction to it and conspiracies over poor handling by the secret service. Now they are overly cautious and won't let him do many outdoor rallies which he absolutely loves and feeds on.
Or hell operation warpspeed.

I prefer the Midwest Democrats more, they seem to have better policies and are more down to earth. I don't think anyone should forget that Trump came from the same milieu as the New York Coastal Democrats (to keep on referring to the Bush Era, that group like the Blairites was all for the War on Terror). Josh Shapiro doesn't sound bad, but he's too similar to that group (at least to me).
Trump beating Biden in that debate did show that the latter was really declining. Personally, I think Biden stepping down affected Trump hard, not only because it not only undercut his campaign strategy but it also incited paranoia that the GOP would try to replace Trump the same way.
Sooner or later, the GOP are going to have to cross that bridge of what to do after Trump. I'll make no secret that I hope Trump loses, but if the GOP had Nikki Haley they could leverage Kamala Harris's relative weakness in foreign policy better, and it would blunt some of the fears of extremism of the American Right (as long as she obviously didn't pick someone like Vance).
The way that scandals seem to slip off Trump might have actually worked against him for the assassination attempt. For some it would be a defining moment, but here it's just another incident in a list of crazy events. Hyper-normalization is dangerous that way. The would be assassin was just a lone-wolf, is there really a risk of copycats that it makes outdoor rallies too dangerous? If there is, I get why they're cautious, no one sane on any-side wants Trump shot (lose yes, but the chaos an assassination would cause is too much).
'Operation Warpspeed' is like Biden's infrastructure projects. Any judgement of effectiveness aside, those kind of things don't seem to campaign well (weakness of the system) and in addition no one even wants to think about COVID anymore.

One that has been made clear over the last year is that antisemitic conspiracies about DA JOOS running everything simply fall apart when one thinks about them for 5 seconds. The fact that anti-Jewish sentiment is quite common on University campuses these days, along with how most of the UN is harsher on Israel than with Hamas, shows that DA JOOS aren't even that powerful. The fact that many Jews are being harassed and forced to declare that they do not deserve a homeland by the Progressives should say something (along with the fact that most of the folks Jews are accused of importing as part of the "White Replacement" loathe Jews).
It's one thing to believe conspiracies about George Soros (Soros György), as they have a kernel of truth to them, but to say that he is the norm for Jews is absurd. Jews outside of the US tend to be more conservative, and Orthodox Jews tend to keep to themselves and live off of stipends in Israel. Moreover, many Asian groups like Indians out-earn Jews in anglophone countries.
Hard to even find where to begin to respond to that

Whoever said I loved Netanyahu? One can acknowledge that Israel has done some bad things without falling for the Iranian line that it's committing genocide and that it shouldn't exist. In fact, I agree that he should step down. I was merely noting that antisemitism comes from the Left as well as the Right, and that the antisemite's world view does not hold up to scrutiny.
