Did you not read where he said his motto was "No mercy; no warnings"? XD

If it is not posted before 19:00 hours CST, assume it has been skipped for the day unless I post saying otherwise.
I live in Asia. I have only figured this out.
You live at CST, which is -5:00 GMT.
I live at +8:00 GMT.
So that means we have a 13-hour gap.
Since you said that the closure for posting is 19:00 CST…
19 + 13 = 32.
32 – 24 = 8.
8:00 am +8:00GMT!
btw CST is -6 GMT not -5 GMT though I guess since the US in day light saving mode it is -5 GMT…yey for time confusion!
^I live in Asia. I don't know much about your time.
Actually, no. CST is now -7:00. So that means…
19 + 15 = 34
34 – 24 = 10
10 am +8:00 GMT!
So, I see that you haven't read my PM yet.

Global Events & Notes
-Cities(stars) have been added. I will add cities whenever I feel they are necisary. They will act as regional capitals, and each regional capital needs a land route or oceanic trade route (which will be displayed on the map) to the national capital(star in circle), or else there will be severe drawbacks to maintaining the region.
-The number of regional capitals you own does not affect anything.
-The economy will be based on your roleplay elements in the game and whom you trade with. There are various different forms of economies now, and you will have two at once. The first one listed is the major, the second the minor. The different types and what they mean will be listed in the references at the bottom of my last post for the turn.
-IMPORTANT From now on, I will not be personally taking care of the technology exchanges through trade. IE: they are no longer automatic. If you want a tech from somebody you are trading with, you may say so in your PM, and you will get it. So it might be a good idea to peruse through other people's tech lists and see what you want from them. You do not need their permission to take their techs, just a trade route.
-A note regarding arrows and expansion: arrows show military movements, but you do not always expand via the military. Colonization will have no arrows. Colonization will not be automatic once you reach the colonial age.
-The epochs have been added in natural order at the bottom of this post, along with what is needed to reach them.

Just a quick question, but wouldn't it also make sense to have Steam Power as a requirement to get to the Industrial Age?
No, but steam power would make it astronomically easier to industrialize. If you don't have steam, you can still use natural powers (windmills/watermills) to maintain your factories. There is no requirement for a navy or land transit either, so you could very easily progress into the information age and never invent the engine.
.
Also, don't forget to try and reach the secret epochs. And don't forget that anyone in the iron age and above gets two techs each turn.
So much for 1 spot open.
I have a question regarding the colonial age… When our nations are ready to colonize, should we just say, in our PMs, "settlers are sent to the new world", without a specific location? Because for quite some time, before enough maps and voyages had been made, the colonists just settled wherever the ocean took them. So essentially, my question is, will you (Rainbow Syndic) be the one who decides where our colonists land?
You will determine the location that your initial discoveries are (IE: Sail towards the Windward Islands in hopes of a faster westward passage to Hephaestus). You may not actually land at the Windward Islands, but you will end up somewhere close. Once your ships start sailing around and mapping out the coasts, you will have enough of a grasp on the new world to actually decide the exact location of new colonies.
.
The Europeans did not start colonizing the Americas the moment they discovered them, and quite a lot of people knew exactly where they were headed when they set out to establish a new colony. In fact, one could get in a hell of a lot of trouble setting up shop in land that their charter did not give them access to.
.
In short, yes, you may decide where you set up new colonies, but only after a turn or two of mapping out the coastline. I may set up a semi-transparent fog on the map to show what is not yet mapped out.
wee for being in the game…nao to catch up 2 u all…
I am absolutely sucking at this game, time to make some strong allies and stuff.
well Panda if you can meet up with my nation I have no problem sharing and growing with allies. As long as our nation's ideals are the same I can see many nations also becoming assets once the globe is…divided
Wait…. Is there still a spot left? If so I'll take it! If not…. I shall be saddened but not depressed!

We're also comfortable with the Hephaestus-Borg border, and look forward to (hopefully) peaceful trading.

I exist to trade. There's plenty of planet for the both of us, and you brought me into the middle ages, so I'm not about to muck up a good thing like cooperative epoch advancement.
completely unrelated but its silly that the new user titles are being switched so frequently. I can't blame with with how large the user base is and putting everyone in there own level is difficult I'm sure. But silly that first day I member, then lurker, nao gold member…wonder whats next tomorrow!
back on track I wonder if there is the potential for revolutions with civvies or stuff in nations since while we as nation leaders might be perfectly ok being next to another nation, what of people wanting a place to expand or in general they don't believe that their neighbors are correct and are willing to take violent measures to get their way right…course I'm sure there's at least 1 or 2 'Napoleons' or 'Hitlers' out there, maybe even a 'Stalin' or 'Ivan'. Who will do the terrible yet great things in this world!
.
No offense intended, but I can't tell if you are asking a question or making a statement.
Offense on the internet exists?? Nah I just lazy and it a obligatory statement that you don't need to answer but causes others to think harder which is something I've always enjoyed doin

I think it'd be fun at first, and then start to get annoying once the thread reaches pg. 22.
I'd love to run the next game, if you want to take a break. That is, if we have another game.
I'm sure pple wouldn't mind doing more games. I know I wouldn't mind

-In order to keep primitive peoples from gaining technology without permission from colonial powers, trade routes may now ony be established by a nation with superior epoch level. If both are in the same epoch, then either may establish trade at will, unless there is an embargo in place.
-A fog of discovery has been added to the map. If you are in the lighter part, then the entire blob of lightness is what you have discovered, and you may only trade with or colonize regions inside your discovered area.

-Medical practices have advanced in technique, and true medicine is being traded by medical practitioners. This has also led to the rise of "snake oil peddlers" who sell fake medicine in the hopes of making a placebo effect that will grant them money and respect.
-Trade routes across Europe are established with the Borg.
-Many new coasts are colonized, and McCartnie begins to spread inland in Scandinavia.

-Trade with a mysterious land called "Equestria" is completely impossible due to the Hephaestans now knowing where this place is.
-A line of forts and outposts are built along the Borg-Hephaestan border. I thought we already did this
-Slavery, and outmoded system of labour, is rapidly being replaced with serfdom. Similar to slavery in the fact that serfs cannot leave their land and must work for little to no pay, the primary difference is that anyone not of aristocratic blood may be a serf, and you cannot work your way out of serfdom or win your freedom as a slave could.
-The cog is invented.
-A series of banks are built across the nation in major cities. The world's first banks, these institutions allow people to deposit and withdraw money in faraway places, rather than carry all of their cash with them wherever they go. The life of merchants and travelling peddlers has become radically easier, making unification of faraway places a lighter burdon on the nation's wealthy investors.
-The advent of banking and easy market integration has resulted in a massive boom in continental conquests and continued occupation.

This new system, combined with the already massive trading empire the Borg have built, results in a huge burst of permanent military ocupations in a short period of time due to the extreme ease of integrating small civilizations into the empire, as well as making it profitable for these people to comply.

-The Cog is invented, and an expeditionary force of small ships are sent west over the seas to map out islands. To their surprise, an entire continent almost the size of Europe is discovered!
-The Magna Carta, a document guaranteeing the rights of the citizens, is signed by Rivãlsò Nicò VII.
-An inquisition is started to purge the land of heathens, pagans, and polytheistic peoples. As a direct result of this, droves of non-Zçùlan peoples have horded onto boats and shipped themselves off to the new, unsettled continent across the sea. These people, technically still compatriots of Giozzi, set up governments and estates in the Rivãlsò's name.
