Hmm Sweetibellions might be against the persucution of religious beliefs but I'm sure they'll understand our views in that it pushed us into a war with them in the sense.

Yeah, though I had quite a bit of land mass to begin with when I took over the reigns, it's been one hell of a ride. Quite happy that I don't have to deal with so many lands over seas though to be honest. I'm a true turtle player <3.

Y'know, if you check the religion spread map, there's not even a significant amount of Zçùlanists in Deisa. At all. You'd be deporting, like, less than 1% of your population. Though this is getting nit picky, I think it'd be a waste of government money to actively do anything to them. Let them feel stigma and discrimination by the Deisan majority, but it would be kinda pointless to make laws for about 1000 people, if there's even that many, living in Deisa.

Less than 1% of the population is still significant enough to make a scapegoat out of. 1% of the US population today would be upwards of three million people. And my maps do not show the only faiths present in a region, just the majorities. Lets just say that if I were making a religion map for 1936 Europe, I would not include Judaism anywhere.

Fair point. Just send your Zçùlanists my way, Vardamir, I'd gladly accept them and add onto my population and workforce. I mean, you could go the genocide route, but that would be a surefire way to ruin foreign relations with almost everyone…

-The airforce has launched a terror campaign against Borgia, dropping germ bombs and napalm over major cities, targeting military bases and air fields with concussive bombs as secondary targets.
-Land forces storm across the unfortified and indefensible central European border, and then spread out into the Balkans. Borg forces scramble to respond, but the attack has taken them entirely by surprise and much land is lost.

-With the invention of the BRBM, a space agency has been developed, and Giozzario launches a rocket that penetrates the atmosphere and successfully enters a stable orbit. As this is first man-made object to be launched into space, Giozzi citizenry celebrate the achievement with a parade and holiday. People from around the world watch as a communist nation is the first to reach the outer limits of the atmosphere.
-Burma is encouraged to invade Kayin, and military aid is sent to help achieve this.
-The industry is expanded, and carefully regulated to prevent overproduction. Internal production are taking a priority over imports, causing a national decline in trade.
-The Californian gold mines are reopened. Already having a multitude of well documented ores discovered and mine shafts started, mining operations find it very easy to set up shop on the island. National immigration from Spain and Morocco has increased the population of California.

-The radio is invented to assist in communications across the empire (this technology groups together telephones and telegraphs as well).
-Metal armor, believed to be inferior for defense, has all but died out in the land forces. Tank corps are being reduced in numbers as they are dismantled for more useful infantry forces.
-Attempts by the monarchy to slow tree felling in the rainforests has resulted in an economic recession as lumber importers worldwide are turning to other sources, such as Siberia, Canada, and Central Africa. As the forests are being uprooted, they are quickly being replaced with massive sprawling farms and plantations.
-Industry is beginning to emerge around major cities, but it remains small and military focused for the most part.

An official statement from the People's Republic of Giozzario
We are disappointed to see our closest friend, Borgia, be invaded by the Sweetiebellion, and are calling for a peace treaty to be drafted immediately to stop the bloodshed remnants of the Great War of Zçùla. We'd be happy to host the treaty signing in our capitol, or even write one up for the nations involved. We're also noticing the highly alarming rate of nations delving into the sciences of nuclear weapons, including ourself, and are noticing the tensions continue to grow again. We propose a UN meeting on weapons of mass destruction, nuclear and otherwise, to compose international laws concerning them. Finally, as you may have noticed, Giozzario is the first nation to break the atmosphere. We're very proud of this accomplishment, and plan to be on the moon by the next turn. Once again, we are disappointed to see violence continue, especially with our friend Borgia. If it continues for any longer, Giozzario will have to consider getting militarily involved.

The city streets are lined with thousands of civilians. A line of soldiers who are now sporting modern body armour and modern weapons create a wall between the civilians and the road.

Today is the day that the Deisan Fascist Dictator takes to the streets in a parade of arms with the newly reformed Deisan Defence Force. Helicopters buzz over head in triangle formations, a proud Deisan invention. Drums beat to match the footsteps of the marching soldiers while other hand held musical instruments play. Thousands of soldiers march slowly behind the auto-mobile that contains the General Staff and the Lord Commander.

Light tanks rumble slowly behind the infantry and behind them come the Artillery pieces. Each soldier within the eyes of the public wearing formal dress, a long black great coat adorned with various patches depending on the division, regiment and corps they're in. The march stops at the Central plateau where the entire force on display comes to a precise halt. The Lord Commander turns to face the crowd.

"Here! Is Task Force Smith! The brave soldiers that are being sent to reclaim the eastern land of Sri Lanka for our glorious nation. Also are the volunteers that have volunteered to proceed northwards and help our allies in glorious combat against the tyranny of Borgia! Deisa is no longer a shadow but a leader in infantry warfare! Our forces man to man are unmatched! And it is this that keeps you safe at night! Our soldiers give their lives so that you might be free of any would be aggressor! We are strong when we are united!" The Lord Commander roared to the crowd and the soldiers on parade, the crowd cheered while the soldiers saluted at once.

"For Deisa. For the Lord Commander!" The soldiers roared.

The streets were now almost empty except for the cultural night life spots, the soldiers of Task Force Smith however were enjoying their last night in Deisa before being shipped off for Operation Eastern Delight, the invasion and occupation of Sri-Lanka. Task Force Smith soldiers' also celebrated the night with the volunteers that were being sent northwards to help in the war with Borgia. The night was lively, full of comradeship and little hostilities. The soldiers of Deisa knew how to control themselves, it was this discipline that would see them stay alive.
Civilians came into the bar they were celebrating from time to time to buy the soldiers a round of drinks, especially the aristocrats who knew how vital the Deisan Defence Force was to Deisa.

Outside on the streets, the Deisan soldiers patrolled them. In groups of four they made sure the streets were secure and not many people tended to argue with a full equipped infantryman who carried a machine gun or rifle. They walked the streets with discipline and eager eyes, each group commanded by a section commander. They would stop each ninety minutes for a small break and a cigarette before patrolling again.

The Lord Commander sat over his desk, it was early hours in the morning but he continued his work regardless. The Deisan Palace was like a fort. Heavily fortified and guarded by his elite Deisan Guard.
The Lord Commander studied recent reports about Borgian naval assets within Deisa controlled waters and reports that he had received about the war in the North. The Sweetiopian alliance Deisa was in seemed to have been the right choice, the people had rejoiced in this choice also, they felt free from the troubles of religious farce, and a lot of people believed that it was the Zculianism that was the contributor to the loss of Deisan lands both here and abroad. They people supported the exile of Zculians or imprisonment if they did not leave Deisan controlled lands.

The checkpoints had been quiet, except for the odd caravan of trade heading in or out of Deisa, a large convoy could be seen coming from Deisa.

"Halt!" A soldier called out, his hand firmly wrapped around the pistol grip of his rifle. He approached the driver's door.

"Another shipment of Zoo men, ready for deporting" The Driver said as he passed over his official documents.

"Good riddance I say" The checkpoint soldier said with a grin, he took a step back and waved the convoy through, other soldiers raising the barrier.

"Nice journey to you" He said, just as the caravan rumbled back to life and left the confines of the checkpoint.

My nation believes the Borgia should be crushed but we will talk and it will be on our side now even more than it was before such as our first demand just as hazes command for peace was before you must give Desia a small part of your land.
You don't make demands if you have nothing to back you up.
Also if you read carefully the Borgia were going to attack us for Libya.
and unless we find the Borgan treaty reasonable we will continue to fight and it shall be glorious.

This was several turns ago. I did withdraw from mainland sweetiopia. I was never invited into any peace treaties. I never took your Capitol. I didn't ignore the peace treaty; it never involved me. I think a good fight will make the game interesting it's just unfortunate that I now appear to be on the losing end. In any case, I'm open to peace but only if it involves recapture of lost land, and I am willing to cede Madagascar.

Sweetie's navy was taken down by the Giozzi, and Sweetie launched that attack. Borgia has been pretty good at preventing them from rebuilding it however. But its not like Sweetie has even tried to rebuild.

You don't own Madagascar, so you cannot cede it. You OCCUPY the land, hence the cross hatching. Its not yours legally. Sweetie still owns it. The same applies for your central European possessions. Medicea does not own the land just because he rolled some tanks over it. Cross hatched land represents the presence of armies on foreign soil, and nothing more.

The great mystery of the Earth's largest natural satellite shall be claimed all for Giozzario and her people!" The crowd roared with a patriotic passion on this monumental occasion.

Suddenly the large black monitor next to the launch pad came to life with a 60 second countdown. The masses watched, on there TVs at home, or there at the Space Agency Center, with pride as the seconds counted down. When it came down to 10 seconds, the vast majority of Giozzi citizens, even abroad, started counting down aloud. " 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 BLAST OFF! "

That's exactly was Çailò did, it's thrusters shot down flames that shook the ground, and it started it's ascent into the last frontier. Giozzario and her people celebrated this victory as the first one in a long time, and immediately started the parades, and by the end of the night, very little pain was to be felt all around. The following day was declared a national holiday for the celebrations to continue. The proud citizens of the communist empire, in Morocco, Spain, Mexico, California, and even some Texans knew in their hearts this was the beginning of an era, and Giozzario had kicked it off. Anticipation for the lunar missions was already starting to grow.

I canagree to a white peace (which would include abandonment of Madagascar) that also involves no occupation of Greece, Crete, and central Europe (mediceans are deep in my territory). You guys japanned and germ bombed civilian centers, so I think the only way Borgia will sue for peace is a complete withdrawal or our total annhilation.

I was simply helping my ally Sweetietopia, they requested help in making you pay, and to tell the truth, we didn't want to help at first. So please, although you may have meant that last part as a compliment, cease the name calling.

First, I didn't call you a name. I said you were a double crosser (in the context of a friendly game) which I think is demonstrably true given that you did blind side Giozzi earlier in the game. Second, I think this game is fun precisely because people act in, er, Machiavellian fashion, which is how I think you've carried your nation throughout this game. That makes this fun; the game would be very boring but for that kind of thing.

Finally, and so there is no misunderstanding, I did mean it as a sincere compliment. I have absolutely no ill will towards you or anyone else and won't even if I am annihilated. This is just a game (and a fun one) and I'm not losing any sleep over it. I am genuinely impressed with the way you're playing (I like the corporate thing) and was complimenting you on some shrewd moves, which have gained you a lot of land--unfortunately some of it was mine.

The people in the Americas (Texas/Hyrule) are trying to make their own nation outside of your 'empires' and we do not approve of your constant militaristic assaults on these people who just want to be free. The USA asks politely that you let these lands be and let the rule themselves just as Giozzario seceded us. Heh, I think this is still a bait and switch, as Libya (which is in Africa) is MY land. If you bomb my civilians and invade me, I cant reward you with land; to do so would simply invite more unwanted territorial advances. "Appeasement" comes to mind.

As I said, anything short of a white peace is no peace at all, and I intend to fight for Borgian territory. I've been in Libya since the Bronze Age. Those are my people.

Erm, Kokuu, Texas is was trying to create a fascist theocracy , and we'd hate for them to gain too much power or align with other dictatorships. Our reclaiming of Texas land is mostly strategic, in keeping them from aiding other nations. Very well then I understand your stance Giozzario and I was mis-informed (my bad I read it wrong) though I still do not approve of the flexing of military might that Hephaestus is doing. From across the world Hephaestus continues to 'colonize' including Hyrule, Australia, India, and other smaller nations that have trouble defending themselves. I will withdraw my threat of military retribution, but will place an embargo on Hephaestian goods. Again I apologize for my misconception about Texas and wish you luck in the ousting of the dictatorship and the spread of freedom.

-Industrialization continues as Atlantean factories are quickly displacing the entire farming community, providing jobs of higher pay and better consistency. However, this is making the US extremely dependent upon foreign imports for food, clothing, and raw materials. More and larger harbours are springing up along the coast to facilitate this new trade demand.

You know, we are one of the, if not the, largest exporter of manufactured goods and embargoing us would have consequences for your economy, it being dependent on imports and whatnot.

I do understand that, however you arn't the only one as I'm fairly certain that trade through the rest of the world will be fine. Raw materials is what I need mostly and food. Manufacturing is kinda what the whole factory part is.

Hephaestus deals in raw goods too you know. We do sit on top of some of the world's largest oil reserves after all. I think the 2nd largest exporter would probably be Borgia, which won't be exporting much of anything until Mr. Biscuits deals with the invasion. Bythia probably exports lots of Lumber, but you were a member of HAZE and they're probably still bitter about being invaded in the name of religion and whatnot.

Edit: Just a suggestion, but a list of the primary export(s) of all Nations would be nice to have for these economic debates.
