When anti-GGs get abbysucks fired from her job because she has an opinion, gamergators declare that "SJWS HAVE CROSSED THE LINE WITH THIS FUCKING TRAVESTY!" But when GGs attempt to get anti-GGs fired from their jobs because they have different opinions, it's "fucking hilarious!"

As a Pro, I whole-heartedly believe this statement. But the only community where I'm seeing Pro GGer cringe is KYM. Other parts of the internet don't believe this is a "ebin Internetz war" or "War on Social Justice" at all. I kinda blame the comparisons the comments on the entry are comparing it to WWII or the bible. Another thing I hate as a pro is how the Pros and Antis can't have a civilized convo without being downvoted to oblivion on this site. I honestly believe that this site should be neutral and unbiased with reporting on GG.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only guy outside of ED that enjoys the drama and batshit craziness that GG provides. Watching crazy people fight crazy people is one of my pastimes, and this over exaggerated Internet Fight has provided me with literal months of entertainment.

This thread has been yet another gift from the party that is GG. I'm probably alone in this sentiment, but I hope this thing never ends. I'd hate to be deprived of such laughs.

Its official. tedoh is pretty much a black sheep for them. Whether or not this his fault though is up for debate, the fact is is that they seem to be having a lot of infighting.

You guys are great. Allowing Gamergate to exist here despite your strong dislike of it is such a wonderful boon for the movement. After all, a community can't be neutral if all of its members are in agreement! If we didn't have discussions like this, and people like those of you who posted in the first 2 pages, then I doubt I'd be able to compile this list! Each of these comments has positive karma, was made within 1 week of each of the others, and criticizes a pro-Gamergate image.

You really do keep Gamergate honest. With KYM's sterling reputation for its dedication to documentation, we've even driven these people to provide sources and context for images without injecting their personal biases!

It has to be said: this is a wonderful space that you all have created, and I just have to express my love for it. In fact, if any part of KYM deserves a thread devoted to sharing its best comments, it's Riff-Raff.

I'd make a lengthy rebuttal to your post if I could figure out what you're trying to argue here.

As for the actual purpose of the thread, have gamergators downvote bombing an opinion piece and then presenting their own downvote bomb as "evidence" that people actually agree with them.

This is like Fox News polling their viewers on on issue and claiming the poll is an actual representation of people's opinions.

Despite how this thread seems like anti-gg, its purpose is not to oppose whatever a pro-gg person believes, but the mock their commentary. But of course some of the forum members doesn't see it that way and mock the gg community unironically. This thread pretty much turned into an anti-gg circlejerk which has not been actually aimed for.

@Snickerway to be fair, the guy who posted that might not have done the obnoxious comparisons himself. Of course, if he did then screw that guy. This is the issue with a "leaderless movement"-- no structure means there's no unified voice, just a bunch of people shouting. It doesn't work.

So basically what you're saying is that since both sides on this site are making fun of and stereotyping each other we should lock this thread? By that logic we should also lock the comment section on the GG entry.

I bet half of the Antis on this site were posting things for ethical professionalism before GG during the Five Guys incident. To add on, NO ONE is stopping Antis on this site to post on th GG article. Its also not biased to use the up/downvote buttons on people in the comments because IT DOESNT CHANGE THE ENTRY AT ALL.

I don't think there are any actual Antis on this site. Like I haven't seen a single person take as firm a stance against GG as ProGGers take for it. It's mostly just people who are annoyed at the whole thing or people who like to poke fun at GGers. It's not like any of the Antis actually give a damn about the conflict itself.

So then what you're saying is this thread is just mudslinging but the GG comment section is 100% productive and isn't mudslinging as well?

And yes, using the upvote/downvote buttons is technically unbiased but if someone gets downvoted into oblivion for posting a dissenting opinion then that's kinda telling them they aren't wanted there. I don't know about you but that sounds to me like its stopping people from posting on the entry.

I never said that the GG comment section wasn't 100% productive. I said that this thread derailed into mudslinging.

Also, What are you talking about? My last post stated about hypocrisy when your only snipping out information I had stated. Mudslinging is a problem. Have you seen the recent GG Debates between Antis and Pros. That and Ejemplos Numero Uno of the Hypocrisy I stated in my post.

Poeple will have the instincts to downvote posts when a majority of the Antis are posting bait such as banning the GG article and other gobbledygook.

The only issue I'm seeing here is that people derail the thread every couple of posts because they want to argue about some post or another. Right now, only 3 of the past 24 posts have actually been stupid GG posts, all because of this latest argument.

Just don't derail the thread, folks. If you have an issue with one of the posts itt that you absolutely have to get off your chest, bring it up with the poster on their page, not here. (Including this one. If you want to continue this, I'll reply whenever I'm not distracted by TF2 or something else.)
