Well I just read through this entire thread and I'm just glad I only said one embarrassingly autistic post out of the like 500 I wrote, and frankly it wasn't that bad considering the context and what I knew at the time.

All things considering, I think 90% of these comments are just people getting way too heated about these things. I personally don't think all the cases are as bad as SJWs but there's definitely stuff that's going above and beyond.

I was pretty heated about it, all the time thinking about it, very politically motivated ect. until personal life brought me back into reality. Ever since I haven't really been able to assimilate into the thing again and I think that's because they're all quite worked up about it.

Maybe these people will be hit with their own personal issues and will get some sense knocked back into them. It's embarrassing to look back on but live and learn I suppose.

Ultimately the opinions of these game journos don't even matter at the end of the day because clearly gamers know better than to listen to that, it's a good laugh to poke fun at polygon and kotaku sometimes but I don't think there's really any meat to the thing anymore.

One thing that drew me to GG was the whole criticizing games and a few gamers for being pretentious and trying to get people to support "bad" games. So what about hatred?

This is actually like the only thing GG can do whenever anyone posts anything negative in the comments. Everything is just reaction images about "lel bait". Saying something's bait isn't an excuse to just throw away arguments. And they always brag about being open to discussion. While triple kind of was asking for this reaction I've never even seen a conflicting discussion go on in the comments of GG it's all silencing dissenters.

I have never seen the downvoting used this way anywhere. Not in media. Not in fun. and Especially not in Discussion.

I meant for comments tbh forums is way more opinionated and too small to have downvotes to be used that way. But it is true, upvotes/downvotes are technically there not for opinions but more for spam.
