Oboe-y this guy is annoying.
Accordiongly to me this Bach needs to take a rest.

At this point, the people in the GamerGate comments section are like those people in Japan who were lost in the woods when WWII ended and were still fighting (read: shooting at random people from the bushes) 30 something years later.

Jesus Christ does that nerdling have añything better to do with his time and life?

No.

Just look at his activity. He's got nearly 7,000 comments, and the vast majority of them are on the GG article, or at least related to whining about "SJWs."

the guy really needs to venture out of his little bubble and actually go onto other articles a bit more

Indeed, he could better post in this thread laughing at GGers instead of posting in a comment section about laughing at SJW's.

You won't find anyone here posting thousands of meaningless updates every few hours.

EvilThing's borderline delusional obsession with the "SJW Plague", while entertaining, is worrying. Like… what does he do with his life? Does he do anything with his life? What happens behind the scenes?… Does he legitimately believe that the "SJW Plague" is relevant anywhere outside of fringe groups when not on the internet?…

Tune in next time, for another episode of "Unravling the Mysteries of Gamergate – Evilthing Edition".

Honestly, even when I was involved with Gamergate he was cringe as fuck. Seeing him on the forums the few times I have seen him were… uh… wow, he really does take this shit seriously, so to speak. I think he may be solely responsible for the Gamergate page still being relevant in the top bar even a year after its inception. That is dedication right there. But is it the right kind of dedication?…

So I was looking through the GG thread, and lo and behold, they've gotten so desperate that they've actually involved themselves with fucking Breitbart. Contrast wat GGers claim with the type of things Breitbart says:

MuttonDew:

Y’know, aGGros keep saying that GG is right-wing or reactionary.
I respectfully disagree. GG has made me feel more left-wing and feminist than ever before.
Why? Because SJWs and pseudo-feminists like Sarkeesian don’t want to empower women, minorities, LGBT folks, or the poor. They want to fill them with fear, take away their autonomy, and use them as a status symbol.
GamerGate and #NotYourShield enlightened me on that.

Andrew Breitbart:

We outnumber [the liberals], and we have the guns.

This is fantastic. They've finally lost their last ounce of legitimacy by allying with a maniacal right-wing militia group. Now even they can't deny GG is dead.

But seriously, what's wrong with posting links about gamergate on the comment section.
I think it's quite helpful to see what current happenings are.
Of course you could go like "but its about gg, who caaaaaaaares" and "It's all he's dooooooing, he should do something eeeeeeeelse" but if that's the best thing you could come up with, why even bother posting it here? At least come up with some decent stuff. I don't say that the comment section hasn't problems (i agree that there are a lot of cringeworthy posts made like everywhere else) but this is just "scraping the bottom of the barrel"

Disagree or downvote if you want, i just wanted to say that posting stuff likes that says more about the one who posted it.

EDIT: >acting like gg allying with breitbart is a new thing

It's not that he's posting in the GG comments that's the problem, it's that he's always posting in the GG comments section that's the problem. He's compulsively posting in the GG comments, at least once every few hours, like clockwork, even though he's ignored more often than not. In the morning, in the afternoon, in the middle of the fucking night, he's there, posting ceaselessly about a movement that largely died out months ago as his life wastes away. Wouldn't you call that unhealthy?

I admit that, but let's leave it here because i'm not going into detail why it isn't that of a big deal as this is not the right thread to discuss.

Oh boy. Where do I even begin? Well, I guess…
1. Andrew Breitbart has been dead for almost three and a half years.
2. What you've actually been seeing in the GG thread is references to Breitbart.com, a conservative news and opinion site he founded in 2007.
3. In case you were wondering, this is not a "right-wing militia group".
4. Even then, the only true connection between these two things is frequent contributor and GG Mount Rushmore candidate Milo Yiannopoulos.
5. This is not a recent happening- he's been covering it since almost the very beginning.

Well this seems to sufficiently answer my previous question.

Jesus holy Christ.

Also GG isn't dead mainly just on KYM. Since I check twitter tons everyday and coincidentally happen to follow some people who are GGers it's still strong in other places. But after the lock and shit KYM GG is basically already buried. The movement as a whole is kind of peetering out though like a fraction of a fraction of what it initially was and probably less than half of what it even was like not many months ago. It was bound to happen a goalless entity with no leaders or common purpose on the internet is going to die eventually even if it seemed like it was immortal.

Maybe we need to rename this thread "good fffrigin comment (ebil es-jay-dubyoo edition)".

1&2: Of course I know that. The idea is that Andrew Breitbart is a pretty good spokesperson for the site as a whole… unless you're saying his the people on his own site have completely disregarded their namesake?
3: If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is a duck… or in this case, if it talks like a right-wing militia group and threatens to shoot anything vaguely threatening like a right-wing militia group, it is a right-wing militia group.
4&5: Given how much the GGers have thrown their support behind Yiannopoulos, it's a pretty strong association. IF GG suddenly threw its support behind a KKK member, would you not say they were now associated with the Klan?

And that's all besides the point – the point is that GGers have allied themselves with people they should by all means be vehemently opposed to. If that's not a sign of desperation, I don't know what is.

why am i having a srs argument in riffraff

it is a right-wing militia group.

I visit Breitbart News Network on a semi-frequent basis, mainly to read the comments sections. Its unofficial motto is -- "Not a racist paranoid militia group, but #1 with racist paranoid militia groups!"

Some of the juicy offerings on today's trending articles…

And that's just with a five-minute search on recent articles. I recall that Breitbart's Charlie Hebdo article from a while ago had especially wonderful comments, but I'm too lazy to dig that up.

@PM: It's kinda funny that one of the users is called "They Live", because that's one of the most anti-republican movies ever made.

Well, did you know that Breitbart was also one of the cofounders of The Huffington Post? Should we also discredit anyone who supports a writer on that site because we can draw a loose connection to a guy who said some sketchy shit once? How about discrediting people who support the Bill of Rights because James Madison was a slaveowner?
That KKK analogy is garbage, if for no other reason than a news site with several independent contributors is wholly different from such a group. And again, this is one journalist we're talking about. If I vocally attest to the excellence of a weekly column series delving into the science and strategy of football that's published in a San Francisco fan magazine, that doesn't mean I'm a 49ers homer. Get it?

you started it

Comparing GG to a malitia group of any kind and gay british man yiannopoulos to a klansman, implying either has done anything but throw verbal mud at people.

Now these are some good frrrigin comments. Well done kym, gold star.

saying that group A has allied themselves with group B is not equivalent to comparing group A to group B

drawing an analogy using group B in order to make a point about group A is a logical device, and does not in and of itself imply that group A is equivalent or comparable in its characteristics to group B

good fffriggin logic and/or reading comprehension

I hold a half-hearted grudge against GamerGate for ruining the term "social justice warrior." There is an over-sensitive strain of the far-left that sees everything through the prism of social justice, and they are gaining influence in academia and public relations. "Social justice warrior" was an enjoyable way to mock them. But then GGers kept using it and using it and using it to describe anyone who expresses even the most mild criticism of gamers until it lost all meaning. Now, using "social justice warrior" just makes you look like an asshole and I have to find some other term. Such a bother.

Comments on the internet now define whether a sites a malitia group or not? We better ban youtube, facebook, twitter, amazon, and know your meme then.

Fuck man, better just nuke the whole net and make everyone use AOL again just to stomp out all those right wing malitia sites and their nefarious gun comments forever.
