Around the 4:03 timestamp, DeMarco previews a song he made for the interviewer, saying, "It's just garbage, but it's fun to make" (shown below). The video gained over 1.3 million views in four years.

On April 20th, 2023, Mac DeMarco released the song in full, titled "20190724," on his YouTube^[2][3] channel, along with a second part titled, "20190724 2," the first song garnering over 87,000 views in five days (shown below, left and right). The song is a part of his album One Wayne G, which consists of 199 tracks and released the next day on April 21st.

On April 22nd, 2023, TikToker^[4] @loo._.ann posted a video celebrating the song's release, garnering over 629,000 views in three days (shown below, left). On the same day, TikToker^[5] @matthew.meyer posted a video dancing to the song, garnering over 2 million views in three days (shown below, right).

On April 23rd, Twitter^[6] user @Blitzman27_ posted, "20190724 bestest song !!! ITS SO HAPPI :D !!!" along with a video of a cat dancing to the song, garnering over 5,400 likes in two days (shown below).
