3 People Gave This A Yeah! refers to a photo of a Miiverse user admitting they are a homosexual, to which three other users gave a Yeah! reaction to the post. The screenshot gained popularity alongside the "Miiverse Yeah!" trend as an exploitable template depicting fictional characters admitting they are homosexual.

Origin

According to a TinEye search, the earliest known appearance of the picture was on the Google+ account BadMiiversePosts on October 16th, 2014. The photo shows Miiverse user asdf admitting they are a homosexual, with three other users giving a "Yeah!" reaction to the post. The post was removed due to Google+ shutting down in 2019, and it is not archived on Wayback Machine^[1]. On January 12th, 2015, Twitter / X^[2] user @BadMiiversePost reuploaded the same photo and received 161 reposts and 359 likes in nine years (shown below).

Spread

Over the following years, the photo gained popularity as an exploitable depicting some characters admitting they are homosexual. For example on September 13th, 2021, Twitter / X^[3] user @tanjirou uploaded an edit about Mob Psycho 100 that received 727 reposts and more than 3,900 likes in two years (shown below, left). On March 9th, 2024, Instagram^[4] user @daily_kagihira_sasamiya uploaded an edit referencing the Sasaki and Miyano manga series that received more than 2,100 likes in three months (shown below, right).

The meme saw a resurgence alongside the "Miiverse Yeah!" trend of June 2024. On June 14th, 2024, Twitter / X^[5] user @jinaxxo uploaded Delicious In Dungeon fan art based on the template. The post received more than more than 16,800 reposts and 119,200 likes in two days (shown below, left). On the next day, Reddit^[6] user BerrytheDeerPerson__ uploaded Night In The Woods fan art to the /r/NightInTheWoods subreddit. The post received more than 1,000 upvotes in one day (shown below, right).
