Alright Bro I'm Boutta Head Out, often shortened to Aight Bro I'm Boutta Head Out, is a slang expression signifying the speaker's intent to leave. Through 2018 and 2019, the phrase and its variations have been used as captions for images in which individuals seemed to either be leaving abruptly or be preparing to depart. In October 2018, "Oh, Ok Mrs. Fritz" version of the meme gained popularity as a subformat, with SpongeBob SquarePants "Ight Imma Head Out" version receiving spread in late August 2019.

Origin

On July 27th, 2018, Twitter^[1] user @BBWslayer666 described behavior of certain individuals while consuming marijuana. In his tweet, he mentioned that after spending half an hour in silence after consuming a large amount of the drug such individuals would say “alright bro I’m boutta head out” and leave. The tweet gained over 26,000 retweets in six months.

On the same day, the tweet was posted to /r/BlackPeopleTwitter subreddit^[2], where it gained over 68,200 upvotes in six months.

In replies to the @BBWslayer666's tweet, multiple users posted images meant to portray the said individuals, captioned with the quote.

Through 2018 and 2019, the phrase "aight bro boutta head out" and its variations have been used as captions for images in which individuals seemed to either be leaving abruptly or be preparing to leave.

Oh, Ok Mrs. Fritz

On October 18th, 2018, Instagram^[3] user salad.snake posted an image in which Jimmy Neutron character Carl Wheezer said the quote (shown below, left), while also misnaming character Mrs. Fowl as Mrs. Fritz. The post gained over 27,900 likes in four months. On October 20th, 2018, Twitter^[4] user @bigbeenor reposted the image, gaining over 2,000 retweets in four months.

The image has since been circulated as an image macro and an exploitable, with the earliest known edit posted by user androidlolita^[6] on November 4th, 2018 (shown below, left). The post gained over 100 upvotes in four months. On January 25th, 2018, Redditor naksuil^[7] posted an edit in which the meme was combined with the Cock and Ball Torture trope, gaining over 8,300 upvotes in one month (shown below, center). In February 2018, the format received a surge in popularity following a highly-upvoted post by Redditor ThatGuy185 in /r/okbuddyretard subreddit^[8] (shown below, right).
