About

Angry Vegeta, also known as Thirsty Vegeta, Vegeta Snapping or Vegeta Fuming, refers to a fanmade image of the Dragon Ball character Vegeta fuming with rage from a high-angle perspective, which is a common drawing trope in anime from the 2020s. The fan art was posted in July 2021 on DeviantArt and became popularized as an image macro and reaction meme on Reddit, X / Twitter and TikTok, often used by netizens to express thirsting or being excessively angry at something.

Origin

On July 27th, 2021, DeviantArt[1] user @demonanelot posted a fan art of the Dragon Ball character Vegeta, titled "Vegeta – Surging Saiyan Blood," which they describe as "supposed to be like all those high-angle moments in anime." The image (seen below) amassed over 32,000 views and 245 favorites in four years.

Spread

The angry Vegeta fan art became a notable exploitable and reaction meme on social media in the following years, recurrently used to express someone's obsession or excessive reaction, be that anger or happiness.
