Ara Ara Army is a TikTok Cult for weebs and anime fans where members change their profile pictures to an image of TikToker @jafiki in One Piece cosplay. The cult is named after the Japanese expression ara ara and was created to combat the Minion Cult, which was popularized throughout June and July 2022.

Origin

On July 28th, 2022, TikToker^[1] @jafiki posted a video where he says it's time for all the "weebs, senpais and oni-chans" to put an end to the Minion Cult by starting their own cult, called Ara Ara Army. The TikToker provides a profile picture of himself in One Piece cosplay as the cult's profile picture. He also tells cult members to comment, "Baka. The moon is ours" in any comment section they go to. The video gained over 550,000 views in two weeks (shown below).

Spread

The TikToker^[2][3] @jafiki continued to promote the Ara Ara Army over the following days into August 2022, inspiring numerous TikTokers to change their profile pictures and join the cult (examples shown below). He often tags @hutchbucketz, the creator of Minion Cult, in the posts to try and start a conflict with him.

On August 10th, 2022, the TikToker^[4] posted a video where he announces that the Minion Cult has disbanded, after @hutchbucketz made a video announcing he was starting a new cult, the Hector Cult (shown below). The video gained over 80,000 views in a day.
