Are You Seriously Watching Porn By Yourself? refers to a series of bait-and-switch videos in which a woman from a commercial for pornographic website Camster asks "Are you seriously watching porn by yourself?" and is followed by a humorous response.
Origin
On March 31st, 2019, Instagram page communisthub[1] posted the original video, in which the Camster woman asks "are you seriously watching porn by yourself?", followed by a Snapchat video from a man declaring, "Nah, I'm with my boys!" The video gained over 5,700 views (shown below).
Spread
The following day, the video was reposted to YouTube by user MemeDealerTM,[2] gaining over 640,000 views. This inspired other YouTubers to post their own edits of the meme. On April 22nd, 2019, user Minimise posted a Counter-Strike edit, gaining over 234,000 views (shown below, left). On August 17th, 2019, user ChrisCrossFilms posted a variation that gained over 168,000 views (shown below, right).
Several animations and video game parodies have been made with the quote. For example, on February 16th, 2020, YouTuber Jaimas posted a version which used Projekt Melody characters, gaining over 117,000 views (shown below, left). On April 14th, user Zoax posted an animation of Jaimas' video, gaining over 14,000 views (shown below, right).
